What's in *your* wallet - a nosy MMP

I am out of it this morning. Read through everyone’s updates and forgot to add my own.

Garden-wise my flowers are doing very well. Bearded irises and roses are going crazy. My peonies just started opening. All of my fruit trees are flowering nicely. The whole yard smelled like orange blossom a week or so ago.

Ruble have fun being Official!

Sari can’t wait to see cat pictures. No pressure.

tl;dr up since 0630 playing Hay Day to the exclusion of everything else.

I’ll blurf now and see y’all tomorrow

Sunny - no pressure and there will be pics.

I want to leave now but irk offered a bonus, so of course I’m logged in. They close at 6 so I want to be out of here by 2. I’m hoping my amazon order with the litter box and litter gets here by then, otherwise I’ll have to stop somewhere and buy more. I still don’t know where I want to put the litter box, the basement would be nice except neither of us would want to go up and down the steps to clean it, and I’d have to put in a cat door.

Woo Hoo!! Just got the email that my contract is being renewed for another year. Well, one of them so far. I don’t know why I worry but every year around this time I get nervous.

I saw an amazing Walk Off The Earth concert last night! (Though really, I don’t think their concerts ever fall short of amazing.)

Going to a rehearsal tonight to bang on a drum.

Good Morning or afternoon now. I started my day off with a flat tire a couple blocks from home. Called hubby who came and put the temporary tire on and followed me to the tire shop for a repair.

TGIF finally. This has been a very long and hard week.

I got to irk to an email from the Director informing me that I have inherited the new Splash Park that just opened on Wed. Goody. Just what I needed another facility to worry about. ********

Fred’s out back.

Well, I was supposed to be on leave right now, but an absolutely critical item (according to my Chiefs) was due in this morning, finally showed up at 1100, so I rushed the letter through and…Branch said he’ll look at it “in the next hour” and the Division has disappeared for parts unknown. I iz grumpy.

So instead of a nice leisurely lunch I rushed to McD’s, where the person in front of me at the speaker had to read the entire menu before ordering, the person taking my ordered could not type, and the person in front of me wouldn’t pull up 3 feet to pay because she might be a little close to the next guy’s bumper…

And one wonders why I’m retiring…

Howdy Y’all! I hereby declare it to be the weekend. So mote it be. ::Cracks open Diet Poopsi:: What? I’m all stuffy haided so no beer. Baby cheezeburgers aka sliders and fries for dindin. Looks like the rain is gone but 'tis dreary and coolish out.

Da yahd looks like Satan himself maintains the poor thing. It needs mowage big time!

**sari **- our litter box is on the landing at the top of the basement stairs - would that be a possibility for you? We did put in a cat door. I had a roommate once who kept her cat box in the spare bathroom. But her cat was messy and the litter was flung everywhere.

I understand it’s possible to toilet train a cat - you’re a woman of leisure - surely you’ll have time to do that! (she says as she runs for the door.)

LOL

No landing at the top of the basement stairs, it’s open the door and down the stairs, which are a little rickety.

And NO! I am not toilet training a cat.

I finally got one, and lucky me Firday is free cat adoption day. They told me I could get two for the price of one, but one cat is enough tyvm.

The cat I wanted to see is in a foster home and couldn’t be brought in. So the attendants handed me Dusty, I liked him, it took forever to find his paper work, then just as we were about done the clerk found a note saying he is dog aggressive. I like Loki, but he is very very very dog aggressive. Somebody walked one of the shelter dogs past his window and he damn near came through the glass, the poor dog didn’t even see him.
Pickings were rather slim because a bunch had already been adopted, then when I went back in, a couple was there with two noisy bouncy children, and half the cats went into hiding. Finally I picked Ash - very shy, he is still hiding. That is okay, Sah-son who didn’t want a cat is checking on him and petting him. I put the litter box in a spare room for now,so he is up there by the litter box. We’ll take some food and water up in a bit.

Unless he moves to West Virginia.

If only you could find something to forever clear that up for you. Have no fear, I shall put myself out & has a beer for you.
::looks in fridge::To celebrate the day*, I shall consume a Warsteiner Winter for you.
I dutifully mailed my local taxis today. Even though I get a refund this year, I just can’t mail them before the 15th. So much so that last year, I dutifully mailed them from the local post office. Bit bummed I’m not thata way this weekend.
*It’s a German beer; last year, I was in Poland on this day, but got there by flying into Germany & then driving a rental on the Autobahn before driving back to Germany on Friday, eventually flying out on Monday.

We went out to supper at a small local place and had an amazing meal! It was their signature dish, which is an 8 oz angus steak served with skewered shrimp and scallops, plus 2 sides. I got the salad and the sauteed mushrooms, and **FCD **got broccoli and their monster fried potatoes. All very yum! I’m not usually a steak person, but mind was mega-yummerrific! And the scallops were amazing!

It’s a tiny little place - only 10 tables, and 4 are 2-tops. We had to wait a few minutes to be seated, and when we left, there were at least 2 parties waiting, possibly 3.

We’re in for now. Tomorrow, the ditch will finally get mowed, plus it’s going to be a pretty day, so I’ll hang the laundry out. For tonight, tho, vegging and maybe ice cream later.

Friday is steak night at the Butters’ home. We had baked taters and salad with homegrown maters. Very good supper.

My sinuses are acting up so I shall soon retire with Ben. I am so looking forward to sleeping in tomorrow. Tahred.

Congrats on new feline overlord Sari!

We’ve had two cousin-cats that were housebroken like a dog would be and leash trained as well. When the cat wanted to be let out the collar was clipped on a line and the cat got to do what it wanted until it signaled to come back in.

The OW and I met some friends from my work for dinner and now its resting for the big day tomorrow. I am still very much excited!

You do realize we will need pictures of your new owner, right?

Oh, and don’t be surprised if you find you need to change his name. I did with my previous cat. When he came home, he quickly made it quite clear that Soldier was NOT his name. We spent a few days getting to know him, then I started trying out names. He was very definite when we got to Felix that I’d found the correct name.

I worked. Now it’s hockey and beer time.

Yay, sari! Now we need pics.

My uniqueness comes from the fact that I have never had, nor will I ever have, a wallet. I just keep cards/money directly in my pocket.

blurf

Yeah, that’s the thing that’s unique about you…

A week or so back, I bit the inside of my cheek. As you know, once you do that, you keep doing it - fact of life and all that… It was finally getting better and I’d avoided biting it, till last night at dinner. And apparently, I did a real job on it.

Since I don’t do TMI much, I’ll avoid the details, but it’s not bleeding this morning, so that’s a good think. I just need to be careful how I eat till it heals. But OUCH!!!

I’ve got a load of jeans in the washer, destined for the clotheslines. After that, shirts and socks. That’ll be it. Not enough towels or whites this week. Then when it warms a bit more, I’ll mow the ditch.

**FCD **went back to bed - he had a really bad night and Higgs woke him this morning. We’ll try to keep it quiet…

Happy Saturday!!

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN ‘Tis 58 Amurrkin out and drizzly with a predicted high of 74 and cloudy for the day. I was supposed to be over to the church house to assist with the first mowin’ of the back forty this mornin’ but that ain’t happenin’. Stoopid sinuses. Plus, I’m sure it’s just as wet there as it is here which makes it not a good time to mow.

Plans for the day are well, not much. Laundry for sure. It wouldn’t hurt to vacuum and dust da cave. We shall see.

Now I need more caffeine and rumbly tummy wants sustenance. Onward to the day!

Happy Sattidy Y’all!

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Closing tonight.

Moooommmm!, ouch!
