What's the going rate on Redskin's season tickets?

A pal of mine who’s now overseas just had his number come up for Redskin’s season tickets. He put his name in years ago and had forgotten. He’s offered to let me give him a price.

So what’s the going rate these days?

Newsflash: You left me and moved to OHIO. Not where the Redskins play.

You kept rejecting me. It was Ohio or take to my bed to flee the spores.

And I have uses for them. Uses.

One bump. NO ONE has any idea?

I can give you a ballpark estimate, though it would be nice to know how many and where the seats are. Figure on about $800 per seat. That’s $100 per x 8 home games. There are some less expensive and some way more expensive.

The Redskins website is utterly useless in this regard, as you may have surmised.

Well, Craig’s List shows that someone is selling full season tickets for $1,000. Link. But he specifically says these are for the nosebleed section, so we’d have to know where the seats are to get a closer estimate.

My pal has an option on 6 ‘General Admission’ seats from the team. They will be in one of these sets of sections:

101-142
201-242
401-454

I’m on the ticket waiting list and have been since 1994. I did get offered obstructed view seats this year though, so I must be moving up. By the time my number is called I might actually be able to afford to buy the tickets though.

You have to pay the above prices for each seat, times 8 home games, and it doesn’t include parking passes. Post season tickets are offered first to all season ticket holders, then made available to the general public. There probably won’t be any news of any increase in ticket prices until after the regular season is over, or maybe after the playoffs if the 'Skins make it in (fingers crossed.) I have heard tell of multi-year deals where you can buy your tickets for a number of years instead of year by year, but I have no cites for that. Club seats, box seats, and luxury boxes are more frequently available, but cost so much it makes my wallet bleed and run screaming from my jeans. Keep in mind though the 'Skins have sold out every home game since 1966, and that the waiting list is over 105,000 names right now. Hope that helps.

wow… Seahawks season tickets go for about 250 and there’s no waiting list…

This ebay auction has a pair up for sale

Well, I find it a little odd that your buddy didn’t mention it when he offered them up, but what the hell. I have nothing specific to add but to ask if the Redskins do PSLs, and if they do you may want to consider that component of the cost. All those EBay auction prices are typically just for one season’s tickets and not the perpetual rights to them.

I think you misunderstood the OP. He is saying that his buddy’s chance to buy season tickets has come up. His buddy has been on the waiting list for a number of years and finally has the oppurtunity to purchase the tickets for the first time. His buddy has gracefully offered to allow the OP to purchase those tickets. His friend doesn’t have the tickets already and is offering to sell them to the OP. There aren’t PSL’s for the Redskin tickets AFAIK, but Baltimore do have those. The way the Redskins season ticket scheme works is you sign up to wait for tickets to become available. When you number is called, the Redskins Ticket Hustlers call you and tell you what is available at that time. You can pass and wait for better seats, which means the next slub on the list gets a chance at those tickets. If you decide to buy the tickets offered to you, (IIRC, its been a few years since I signed up) you can either agree to buy 1,5, or 8 years worth of seasons tickets at whatever price Danny-boy Snyder is asking that year. I don’t know if there is a payment plan, or if you pay a year at a time because I haven’t gotten that far. I got a call this summer to offer me 2 obstructed view seats, but since I like watching the game I passed.

Great friend by the way, I wish some of my friends would offer me the chance to buy 'Skins tickets. Hell, I wish one of my friends would sell me 2 tickets to Saturdays Giants game but that ain’t happening either.

Well, he is English. He signed up for the tickets on a lark because years ago he developed an interest in American football and liked the Redskins. He admits that he’ll never use them. He came to me for advice about what he should do with the opportunity. I yelled ‘sell it to me!’. And now we’re discussing the price.

Well when I saw them play the 49ers the face value of tickets in the 416 section was $54 each. So it’s over $400 for the season for each seat there. Don’t know what the other sections are face value though.
