For me, it was The Avengers.
Birdman. Decided I wanted to review it so I needed to see it again.
Revenge of the Sith.
Me, too.
The Muppets (2011).
Probably Black Robe (1991). I was living in Hawaii at the time, saw it, liked it. A few days later I went with a Dutch-Indonesian couple to see it again, not because I liked it so much, but they really wanted to see it, and we were all going to go out clubbing afterward, so I went to see it again. I could have just met up with them later, but I decided what the hell.
Trip to Bountiful, oddly enough. I saw it in the local theater at college (single screen) with some friends, and the next day, some other friends wanted to see it, so I saw it with them too.
Whiplash I think. I remember I went out with my son and he wanted to see it nearby and I had already seen it somewhere else months before. I was happy to catch it again.
Boyhood
I saw The Avengers twice.
I don’t remember which movie specifically (maybe The Lost World: Jurassic Park II), but it was in the alas, now long gone, theater that showed not-quite-new movies for a buck or two.
Casablanca…admittedly the most recent viewing was 2 years ago.
Ponyo, what was that, 5 years ago or so? Before that, I couldn’t even tell you. I’m not a movie theater person. I had extenuating circumstances for the Ponyo one. If it wasn’t for that one, it’s probably been close to 10 years. I really have no problem waiting for them to be on TV or Netflix.
And as I was about to say I might take my daughter to see the new Star Wars, I realized I’ve actually taken her to a few movies over the years. I just realized we saw Inside Out a few months ago, so that would be the most recent one.
None. The closest I can come would be that we saw Stand By Me at an impromptu outdoor theater with one of those blow-up screens.
Inside Out. Once when it first came out, and once a couple weeks later when we were looking for something to do to kill time and it was playing at a convenient time.
I’d just seen The Fugitive, and asked out a girl who wanted to see The Fugitive, and so I of course shrugged and took her to see The Fugitive.
Moonrise Kingdom
Excuse me. I saw Inside Out twice. Sorry, but I forgot about that.
Avatar. Saw it in a regular theater. Then went to go see it in Imax.
Jurassic Park. Not World, Park.
I can only think of a couple of others movies I’ve seen more than once in a theater. Annie for sure. I think maybe Bambi.
