Wow, that’s a wonderful bike. I hope the police treat it with some respect.
Spotted a ~60 year old Mercedes-Benz sedan on the route between here and the podiatrist’s office earlier today. Didn’t catch the year off the antique license plates.
I spotted an early Porsche 911 on the road earlier today. I’d guess probably 1960s or early 1970s. It was green, which seems to be a not uncommon color on the old ones.
Come to think of it, I guess there’s a possibility it was a 912, since they used the exact same body but with a four cylinder engine. I didn’t get a look at the badges.
Those early 911s, compared with the 911s of late, are so much smaller!
I should see that car again today. I’ll try to get pictures if it’s still parked there.
I was behind a guy on a motorized unicycle yesterday. On a public street, going at least 20. I was in third gear, so that’s an estimate on speed. On an on ramp to a highway with a speed limit of 55. Fortunately, he turned into the park not 100 yards from the highway.
I didn’t think those were allowed on roads.
No M-B today. Did see a little Honda truck of similar vintage on our way out to go shopping and a Buick Electra 225 convertible from the late Sixties on our way home. Didn’t have time to take pictures.
In a blink-and-you-miss-it moment, I was passed by a red early-mid 80s Ferrari (picture Magnum PI) on the interstate this morning. I didn’t get a great look, it was literally 5 lanes over and he had to have been doing 30-40 over my 65 MPH. I don’t approve of that kind of speeding in public, of course, but is was still pretty cool to see. Tiny little thing.
On Friday, it was (I think) an Infiniti coupe in a camouflage wrap with big …splotches? It was very effective, if I didn’t see the badge, I wouldn’t have been able to make out what kind of car it was in the twilight.
Here’s something to keep an eye out for. GM’s new electric car: the new 2024 Cadillac Celestiq. Apparently they are hand built and only two per day are being built.
I don’t know about that. Looks more Italian to me, like a Ferrari or a Lamborghini.
I agree with you there.
I showed the photo to my coworker buddy. He has, um, old mannish taste in cars with a big Cadillac and a big Buick sedans. He took once glance and said, “It’s ugly. Looks like a stretched out Honda.” and now I can’t un-see it.
Understandable. It’s very un-Cadillacy.
I saw what looked to be a burnt out Bentley (it was definitely a Bentley, don’t know if it was burned or just wrecked) on the back of a car carrier in rural TN. You don’t see those here.

Though they were aiming for Caddy-esque taillights, it certainly looks Japanese to me, too.
I don’t know. To me the overall shape, especially the sloping rear, looks very Citroën, with some Cadillac elements in the grille and taillights.
On today’s walk I passed a driveway with two great specimens:
Yes. Classic Citroën plus classic Italian.
