18+ feet of 3rd generation Cadillac deVille convertible, maybe a 1968, with an appropriate parking sign.
I believe you’re right.
Wow, thanks. I haven’t seen the movie in years and I didn’t recall that.
Pinky is a Model 3 I think? Did it look like wraps or paint?
Aah yes, it’s a 3. Thanks!
The VW Beetle and the Porsche 356 share a common heritage. And racing fuel is $10 a gallon — ouch.
Ferdinand Porsche created the VW Type 1. It would be called the Beetle or Bug many years later (and the Type 2 is the van, the Type 3 is the wagon/fastback).
The old Porsche attracts the beautiful ladies.
And $40 for 4 gallons of racing fuel is painful.
.
They’re both probably wrap jobs, pink and olive drab.

There’s also the Type 4 (larger version of the Type 3), Type 321 (Brazilian version of the Type 3 / Type 4), Type 14 / Type 34 (Karmann Ghias), Type 181 / Type 182 (Thing), Type 147 (Germany’s version of the Jeep Dispatcher), etc.
While on vacation in CA we were passed by a little convoy of older cars, perhaps just out for a Saturday drive. Sorry for the poor picture quality.
What do you suppose that is for? It looks like a mobile wooden steampunk deer blind parade float or something.
Beats me.
Although, I think there are golf clubs up top. Maybe he’s a caddy.
Reminds me of this RV that I saw years ago and managed to get a picture of.
Protection for a demolition derby? Cosplay/fan event? Rigging to mount film equipment?
Also, while looking for that picture, I found this one.
I like that last one. Makes me think of a Schwann’s delivery truck.
This tricked-out pickup.
I was grabbing this shot when the engine started. I looked closely though the heavily tinted windows and there was no one inside! I was getting a weird Christine vibe when the owner walked up from behind me and got in.
So all that bling and a remote starter.
@beowulff — a New Yokie?
Wow–that is remarkably hideous. All it needs is a 6" lift and axle extenders to complete the douche-bro package.
I’m thinking the wheels on that thing are awefully mundane.
