What's the most interesting car you saw today?

Nope, he’s a Dodge, not a Caddie. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

Saw a parked silver over black Mercedes S550; it was long & just oozed well-heeled

My initial thought upon reading the post was “the remote starter, and apparently the wheels, are probably factory installed”.*

I can only assume the owner is aware of how gaudy it is and is leaning into it. I wouldn’t be surprised if all the upgrades (including anything on the interior) were cosmetic. Lights and decals and that enormous bumper but nothing really beyond that. If this was 20 years ago there’d probably be 15 foot CB antenna mounted to the rear bumper.

*ETA, it even appears to still have the wheel locks on.

3 recent cars.

What’s the curvy last one? 40’s Chevy? Modded?

Right on both counts.

FYI, I’m not that good at antique car ID, but Google Lens is.

Thanks. I wasn’t sure about it, other than definitely moved. I also took a few of its interior. I chuckled at the electric window lifts. And I like its split window.

Saw a Volvo P1800 pulling a teardrop trailer on I-90 this morning. Looked to be a late 60’s - early 70’s model.

I’m able to narrow down the suspects on my own but need Google Lens for confirmation.

For example, I knew the red Ford is a mid-Sixties Galaxie 500 and Google Lens told me it’s a '66.

I am new to Google Lens and that’s what it’s giving me also: 1966 Ford Galaxie 500.

I ran a quick test on Google Lens on my 356. Many of you know that I have one. It returned some incorrect results but I think given time and usage it will improve.

As an FYI and a check on the app, Google Lens returned these incorrect results, all cabriolets:

1963 Porsche 356B T-6 cabriolet — mine; pics follow.

1959 Porsche 356A 1600 Carrera GS
1962 Porsche 356B
1964-1965 Porsche 356C
1956-1957 Porsche 356A
1960 Porsche 356B

And here is mine. This is what I fed it.

A hot pink Audi A5, with a black hood; it just looked black & not carbon but was hard to tell in traffic. It was ugly & impossible to get away with anything in that car.

It’s a 55 and is considered by some to be the first muscle car. It came with a 331 hemi and the 300 reflected the hp. Ask your neighbor if he would take a $1000 post dated check for it.

I drove one of those on a ski trip. The owners bought it - and didn’t know how to drive a manual transmission! So, I said I would drive. It was OK, but it had the only case of “brake fade” I ever experienced. We were going down “Old Priest Grade rd.” near Yosemite, and the brakes started to fade. I had the transmission in the lowest gear I could without redlining, and I still couldn’t keep our speed down… The road ends in a “T” to a bigger highway, and I was really sweating it - worried about having to blow through the intersection. I was finally able to stop by pressing on the brake with both feet. I didn’t say anything while I was fighting the brakes, because I didn’t want to panic the passengers.
I also didn’t let on to the owners that I thought the car was kind of a P.O.S.

An early model red Lotus Esprit. In a Walmart parking lot.

One of the first “wedge” cars. Totally angular, dude.

A Bentley GTC, not sure which of the 6 versions in the lineup.

Unfortunately I did not get a picture of it but yesterday I saw a very bright BRIGHT green Corvette C8. That color really popped!

I actually took this picture a week ago and forgot to post it, but I did see it again today. It’s gotten a fresh coat of primer since last week, so someone’s clearly in the process of restoring it. '71 Dodge Charger, I believe.

I am starting to see those Amazon Rivian delivery vans. I couldn’t snap a pic so these are web photos. They look odd.
