I drove by there today, and now the Charger has a shiny, new orange paint job. I couldn’t get a picture since I was driving, but if I walk by this weekend and it’s still in the driveway I’ll try to get one.
I hope they’re not going for the General Lee.
Oh man, I didn’t think of that. Right now it’s just solid orange, but if that’s what they’re going for then adding the decals would be the next step.
Although to my eye the shade of orange they painted it looks a bit darker and more reddish than the General Lee.
That’s the shade of orange my mind saw, a darker one. Plenty of those cars around when I was in school.
It’s rare for him to have any of these out of the garage.
My dad called the back car a 69 Cutlass. Judging by how similar it is to this, I’m guessing that might even be the original color.
I saw one in the mall the other day, next to a Aston Martin SUV. I know they do it after hours but man, I’d love to drive a car in the maul; even it it isn’t like this.
Parked next to a Mustang Mach-E today. It’s just not right. Interesting? Only in that it isn’t much like a Mustang in my mind. I’m curious enough to want to take it for a test drive though.
The Charger has a “for sale” sign in the windshield now, so it doesn’t look like it. Looks like they were just trying to flip it.
In other news, I saw a VW electric crossover of some sort. I haven’t kept up with VW’s latest models, so I’m not sure exactly what it was.
They are very popular cars. Ford has built a winner of a car. A former coworker has one and he loves it.
But they should have never called it a Mustang. The name is just wrong for that car.
This, I agree with. I, too, have heard great things about the car, but not a Mustang in my head. It looks a bit to vanilla to be a Mustang.
I agree with you and @Bullitt about naming it a Mustang, but when it comes to vanilla, don’t forget the horrible third-gen Mustang.
True. Many cars were horrible in the 1980s.
Need help with the ID on this one. Spotted parked by the Chappy ferry on Martha’s Vineyard. Japanese import, right hand drive, 60s or 70s I think.
Nissan Pao. It’s actually from the late-80s - early-90s, but styled to look like it’s from the 60s or 70s. Apparently cars like that were kind of a fad in Japan back when their economy was booming.
Good eye. And very unique too. Nissan Pao.
Trust me. I can’t.
And then there was the Mustang II, aka “The Rustang”
A Chrysler Crossfire, and a 1927 Chevy under the cover.
This is an example of how a quick “Nice Crossfire“ greeting can turn into a 45 minute chat between two car guys who have some time. The guy has a nice collection of Chevys from the 10s, 20s, and 30s, and also a sweet 2007 Titanium Aston Martin Vantage. The Crossfire is essentially a Mercedes 230 SLK with the Crossfire body on it.
Oh my. That’s a beauty.
