Looks to me like that motorcycle should be carrying the car.
Yes, true, it was a humble car.
Today, a Genesis GV60 electric SUV. It looks pretty sharp. This is not your father’s Hyundai. The 3rd pic is from the web.
And the Genesis logo looks close to Aston Martin’s. I don’t think they’re pleased with that.
Whoever is running the Hyundai/Kia design studio is definitely firing on all cylinders. Wish we had a Genesis dealer in town. I would say they have the most attractive portfolio right now hands down.
They certainly are! Hyundai and Kia are making some fantastic cars these days.
Just saw one today on the drive home from the studio. I have to say, I wasn’t that impressed by it in person. It looks mostly like an egg.
As to the wings emblem, it also resembles the Bentley, Mini, Harley-Davidson, and Chrysler logos. Wings aren’t that unique.
Yes I know. That’s obvious. When I saw that logo, on that car that I did not recognize (because it’s new), my first thought was, Aston?
I saw an old Mitsubishi Mighty Max pickup on the road today (US name for the 1986-95 Mitsubishi Triton pickup). Even back in the era when compact pickups roamed America’s streets, I don’t remember those being all that common (not counting the Dodge badged versions). Mitsubishi always seemed like the “also ran” of the truck world in the US.
Oh, I also saw a C8 Corvette Z06, but I honestly found the humble pickup more interesting.
Later today for the first time I saw a Hyundai IONIQ 6. I couldn’t snap a pic so these are web photos. The styling is a little edgy… perhaps a little too edgy.
I was reading how the design team absolutely obsessed over the drag coefficient–they wanted to get into the .1 c/d range but had to settle for .21 (I believe) which of course dramatically affects highway range.
I regularly cycle by a carport with a Nissan Leaf and Hyundai Ioniq 6 parked side by side. Talk about being both an early adopter and living on the bleeding edge.
Hyundai related: All the press and buzz about the Ioniq 5 was very careful to note that the engineers were reeely smrt and no you did not need a rear window wiper because of the magic of aerodynamics. One winter in Calgary, heck one week in Calgary in chinook conditions would have put rest to that notion. I see the new N line Ioniq 5 has a rear window wiper. Haw haw!
passed a RHD Nissan Skyline
That explains a lot. Thanks for that.
A Bentley Bentayga SUV at the supermarket. I didn’t notice whether it was a hybrid, because until a minute ago I didn’t even know the model name or that it was available as a hybrid.
A couple going for a ride in a Nice MGB, today in Sunnyvale CA.
at least a light, swift and nimble city car/grocery getter … I thought them brits could never pull that off

What is called an SUV today is nuts IMHO.
It actually has some decent off road chops, and the photo posted here makes it look more sedan-like.
