A Maserati Ghibli and a Bentley Flying Spur.
Today I saw a late 30’s Rolls Royce Phantom. Right hand drive and everything. It was silver. It was not only the most interesting car I saw today, it was quite possibly the most beautiful thing I’ve seen today.
1960 Mercury Comet.
A clean example.
I saw a van that was advertising its driver’s business: Evangel-Print (followed up by a verse from Isaiah, I think).
He was willing to do all kinds of printing. Then again…maybe not every kind after all.

A Korean war era US Jeep, being towed on a flatbed. It was either lovingly restored or a replica.
A Tesla on a low, single car trailer. It was already owned since it had a personalized plate but the interesting thing is that the side of the trailer said “Tesla” & the Ford pickup towing it was also owned by the Tesla dealer, based upon the decaling on the side. Is that really how they transport their cars around rather than using a flatbed tow truck?
Another Batmobile, the BMW i8.
1973 Mercedes Benz 250SL - a tiny car. Very nice, and classic.
Also a VW 1600 TL fastback.
Haven’t seen either of these cars in a very long time, several years.
NM, double post
1983 Chevy El Camino. Clean, well kept.
A pristine Daimler SP250 in scarlet, looked like it had just come from the restorers. Those are my guilty pleasure 60s cars, the styling is so utterly over the top they ought to be ugly, but I just love the fins-and-grille look.
I can’t think of a better word to describe it, but it sure is interesting too. Kind of like an MG that took a combination of coke and steroids.
With an upper lip like that above the bumper, my guess is that it is the offspring of Futurama’s Fry and Leela.
I was thinking it’s a pic from The Big Book of British Teeth.
If that’s the same model, it looks MUCH better from that angle.
Yeah, they’ve got so much styling going on it’s actually hard to find a picture of one that captures their full glory. I think they just went mad with the fibreglass moulding once they figured that you didn’t have to tool all the curlicues out of steel.
There was one at the San Francisco Auto Show last November. Very interesting car.
It’s a shame they didn’t have modern dentistry in its youth. ![]()
Haha, British traffic cops used to drive them! All right, chummy, you’re nicked! And the bell just completes it.
