I’m not sure what I saw tonight, but I took a picture of it and would love an answer.
Thanks.
I don’t know what it is, but I want one.
Wasn’t today, but a couple weeks ago I went to the Museum of Transportation in St. Louis. There are a lot of interesting cars there, including two Moons, a Chrysler Turbine, and a crazy custom car owned by Bobby Darin.
It wasn’t today, it was last Monday, but I saw one of these, waiting at a stoplight in San Jose. Wish I could have gotten a pic or two, but I was driving so I couldn’t.
I saw two Honda S2000’s today. A silver AP1 and a red AP2, both top down - it was a glorious day in the PacNW. (Didn’t get my AP2 out of the garage :()
Makes me wish Tesla was the one to go out of business and this car became the successful fully electric car of today.
The vehicle itself was not all that interesting (a generic pickup truck with camper top), but it displayed attention-getting signage. In large letters:
“(redacted name of dealership) Ford Management calls its black employees F___ing Monkeys!”
::shakes head::
I’m vacationing in Europe and alway enjoy seeing the different cars. We’ve covered 11 countries and will be heading home soon. Some of these may be available in the US? Perhaps with a different name.
Hopefully no typos here, or duplicates… I was reading their names and typing this while driving (on a steering wheel mounted iPad, pretty easy, and safe to do).

One fascinating ride was a bright red 1940 Moto Guzzi motorcycle in Rome, in the Jewish Quarter where we stayed.
In reverse order of what I saw yesterday:
-
A black Alfa Giulia. No! Wrong! (Looked much like a Bring My Wallet mobile from the side) The couple of red ones I’ve seen were much better.
-
My first Mazda Miata MX-5 RF - (targa top)
-
A Cadillac tow truck WTF? I never knew such a thing existing. Until I got home & played with Google, I wasn’t even sure that it wasn’t a kit-bashed Chevy/GMC with an Escalade grill.
I just got back from driving a Renault Clio rental car in France. I haven’t driven a Renault in over thirty years. I can report that the gearbox has not changed one iota.
I was there for the 24 Hours of Le Mans. Ttherefore, I saw more cool cars than I can begin to mention here. This is a truly worthwhile trip to make. It was my third time at the event.
There were some nice looking rides in the 4th of July parade in San Jose today. My favorite was a 1937 Plymouth Special Deluxe
That sounds awesome. I’d love to go to Le Mans, and to the Monaco GP.
Saw a Datsun 240Z in the parking lot at the supermarket today. The owner was just returning to his car, and i commented to him that you don’t see too many of those around anymore. He said he had bought the car brand new, and he certainly seemed old enough for this to be true. It wasn’t in concourse condition or anything, but it was in pretty good knick.
I saw a very pretty silver Mazda RX-8 today. It made me miss mine so so bad.
A Delorian, parked in a square in Belluno Italy.
I spotted a Wienermobile Saturday morning about 8:30 on the Beltway in Virginia.
Not as cool as, say, a DeLorean in Italy, but still definitely out of the ordinary!
I saw what I think was a Pinzgauer–not a common sight in rural Washington. think there’s a guy who collects odd stuff around here somewhere, though–a couple months ago I saw an old Unimog in the same area.
Head’s up for fans in the Silicon Valley area: there’s a big car show in Saratoga on Saturday the 17th. They call it a “Classic” show but it’s open to “Cool” cars of any type. Should be a lot of fun.
Oops, missed the edit window–the show in Saratoga is on Sunday the 16th.
