A Mini. A REAL Mini, with small wheels, a roof about the height of my midsection, & the steering wheel on the right side.
I went to the fantastic Museum of Transportation today (http://transportmuseumassociation.org). Lots of cool vehicles there, including a couple of Moons and Dorrises, a Chrysler Turbine, and a Stanley Steamer. The rarest, though, has to be the one-of-a-kind DiDia 150, custom built from scratch by clothing designer Andrew Di Dia and owned by Bobby Darin. It’s a pretty crazy car. Here’s the Wiki page: DiDia 150 - Wikipedia. And here’s the pic I took today: Imgur: The magic of the Internet.
If you like cars (or trains) and you’re near StL, the Museum of Transportation is a must-see.
I used to travel to STL quite a bit for work. That museum was on my list, but while I toured many STL area sites, I never made it there. And now I don’t go to STL any more.
If I ever do go back to STL, that’s still on my list!
A 1982 Fiat 2000 Spyder, white, in great condition.
There was a monstrous Ram 2500 in the parking lot. The bottom of the window was the about the same height as the roof of the Nissan Rogue next to it.
A Mitsubishi Starion - built between 1982 and 1989. Could be a winter car for someone, although it’s a bit of an odd choice.
The most interesting car I’ve seen today is my neighbor’s new used Dodge Caravan.
I don’t get out much.:o
OK, not a car but very interesting to me. A V-tail Beech Bonanza, you don’t see many of them around anymore. Also, saw my first Maserati Levante in the wild. I can’t say I was all that impressed; the only image I could conjure up was if I was on my knees looking at Nicki Menaj’s butt in a pair of tight, white jeans; skinny top, heavy bottom. Don’t get me wrong, I like NM but the Levante looks really unbalanced.
I had one of those! An odd choice for winter, indeed. That thing would hydroplane if someone spit on the road!
Last time I saw one of those, I was at a rally and I swore up and down to my friends that it was an old school Celica Supra. :o
A two door Rolls Royce. I didn’t even know they made such a thing. It kind of looked like a VW beetle having an allergic reaction.
Rolls Royce must have designed the Wraith to compete against the VW Rolls kits. ![]()
1982 DeLorean. Spoke with the owners for a bit and they said it’s a real one, not a kit or replica, that they bought up in Pennsylvania about a year ago.
I kinda like the one trying to be a '40 Ford.
Alfa Romeo Guilia, smart looking car
Someone delivers mail in a Nissan Be-1, interesting little car. And it is little.
A Fiat 1600 Spyder, in the Pismo Beach area.
Also — an old silver Porsche 914 on the highway, on US-101. I keep saying the same thing, and I’ll say it again, those cars are so small! it’s incredible how small they are, even in today’s world of Smart Cars, the BMW i3, and Chevy Bolt EVs.
Yeah, they’re small.
And! A Datsun 240Z. They got that car right when they designed it.
A Subaru Factory Five 818S roadsters, at the dealer while getting my snows mounted
