A BMW i8, which is somewhat uncommon and I see them from time to time, but this one was the first I’d ever seen that was RED, with black accents.
It looked downright mean, and bad-ass.

Driving south on Beach Boulevard in Huntington Beach: a green and white Edsel Villager (like this). Not a garage queen, but not a rustbucket either. It made me smile to see it.
A couple of days ago I came across a Tesla 3. Sadly the guy chose a charcoal gray color. Detracted from the stylishness.
Parked beside a Tesla Model S was a late ‘70s LTD II with classic car plates and a ton of rust.
Rarely has there been such a jarring disconnect. The LTD II wasn’t cutting edge even when it was new, whereas the Tesla will remain so for a long time to come.
Just saw the new Roadster. You will get a speeding ticket in this thing while parked.
A Citroën 2CV.
On the freeway! And doing freeway speeds!
I’m guessing you mean the minimum allowable speed. The Tin Snail wasn’t doing 75.
I’m so jealous. I’d love one, but living in the tundra, I’d only bring it out in summer for picnics (with baguettes and brie and a bottle of wine… and a french girl in a beret…)
My friend just bought a 19-y.o. Porsche Carrera for her birthday. It is a thing of beauty. I am envious.
A customized PT Cruiser with odd headlights mounted in aerodynamic pods to make it look even more like a car from the 30’s.
I saw a 1960 Rambler Super. I instantly recognized it, because that’s what I drove all through high school, much to my embarrassment.
I saw a Tesla Model 3 in a parking lot today. First one I’ve seen in person.
An early Aughts Miata with a lowering kit and really nice wheel/tire combo. I’m starting to get the itch to look for a project car (like a 5 liter Miata) again. I also have too many hobbies that eat my money as it is…
You ever see a car with the rear window painted up to be a memorial for someone in the family who passed away?
Today I saw a Pick Up rear window memorial for Angel L. Juarbe, FDNY Ladder 12…
I saw a Bonzer electric car sharing vehicle, apparently manufactured by a Chinese company, Zhejiang Rayttle. The cars are tiny, and have a top speed of only 25 MPH and a range of 60 MPH, but must be incredibly cheap and easy to park.
Saw a beautiful blue Ford Focus RS the other day. What made it interesting was the Domino’s sign on the roof…30 minutes or it’s free indeed!
I’m pretty sure the guy who owns it is military so I suspect he’s supplementing his income.
Spotted either an unbadged Range Rover or BMW SUV doing winter testing. No pic, sorry.
I like the i8, they look like Tron cars.
On the way to work this morning, I saw a new Mazda MX-5 Miata RF, a hardtop convertible. I didn’t know Mazda made a hardtop/fastback Miata, and I had no idea what the car was until I got close enough to see the nameplate. Gorgeous car.
If I were in the market for a sporty convertible (alas, I’m not), I’d probably still go for the ragtop, because I figure if I’m going to drop the top, I want no half measures. I’ve never been big on the Targa top look. But, that car is sharp.
Dodge Swinger. A rough restoration.
