What's the one place you've been to that no other Doper has visited?

[QUOTE=Rick]

That is fascinating! We’re usually there around the end of November or end of December. I remember seeing the strings of christmas lights, and just thought that the red ones were just the odd string. I can’t wait to see it this year!
Boys, remember this, you want a wife like me. I WANT to go to a whorehouse.

You must have been right about at Davidson - how about Dundurn SK?

Doing a little looking around - Google Maps doesn’t believe in Industry, NY. Which isn’t too surprising, at this point there’s only one thing there: The Industry School a former boys school for troubled teens, and now being run as part of the NYS penal system. Yup, I’ve been to Juvie. (I tell ya, everyone’s got boilers, it seems.) But the Post Office still maintains a seperate Zip Code for the place.

So ah, how You doing?
If anything ever happens to your husband, promise me you will tell me ASAP.

Consider yerself penciled in at the top of the list.

Me me me!

I was there for an hour during refueling.

Duff’s is good, LaNova’s has great pizza and wings.

Both.

I’ve been to Taroona and Cygnet, which are close to Tinderbox.

I’ve been to Balfour, in Circular Head, Tasmania, which is the other end of the island but I’d be very interested to know of anyone else on the boards who’s been there.

My dad’s place of birth, Taraka, in the Philippines. I have little doubt that no other Doper has stepped foot there.

To be honest, I don’t remember whether I took Highway 11 or I went up 27 to 16. It was 1976. I was hitchhiking, and I took what rides I could get. I’ll never forget the sight, though. Nothing for miles as far as you could see.

I thought of some other places:

Ever met someone at an appointed time at or on the observation deck of the Bulova Tower at the Canadian National Exhibition in Toronto? They tore it down years ago.

Standing at the end of Windsor, Ontario, taking in the dirty expanse of Detroit across the river?

Walking along the Atlantic beach at midnight south of St. Augustine, FL? With your new spouse? Well, spouse not required for this question. And you didn’t have to be there at midnight.

In a mansion in the Hollywood hills looking out over the dirty expanse of Los Angeles?

In the Norfolk Hotel in Simcoe, Ontario?

Ski Etna! 1973

I’ve been in Cotatbato City, Davao, and General Santos City, which are close, but no cigar.

How about Moldova?

Bodie, CA anyone?

Yup, I got that ghost town notch in my bedpost.

Well, I got Bagram, Afghanistan covered . . . and I wasn’t GeoCachin’ neither. Hell, I was even the first to post about it too.

Tripler
I think I may have Fort McCoy, Wisconsin too. . .

Been through it a few times. Probably stopped for gas.

On the court of the Verizon Center in Washington D.C. (Known as the MCI center at the time) I was there the night the Wizards played their first game. After the game was over I walked out to mid court and looked around. I took a few pictures of the post-game shows being filmed.

The Great Gallery in Horseshoe Canyon. Yeah, I’ve been there, and barely made it out alive (but it was well worth it).
