What's you favorite beer?

While I like Beck’s Dark a lot, my absolute favorite is Bass Ale!

What’s your fav?

In no particular order:

Hacker-Pshorr
Pilsner Urquell
Guinness

I like Iced Tea! ok ok, give me a Moosehead™

Victory HopDevil IPA or Salem Beer Works Black Bat stout.

Guiness & OB Lager.

Two imports that couldn’t be more different, from different sides of the northern hemisphere. I particularly like them together: as a black & tan.

My favorite beer is the one in front of me.

As far as taste? Well, having lived in Germany and travelled though Europe, I find that gool ol’ Miller Lite fits my bill - lower calories than most and not as thick and syrup-y as others.

I know…purists will take me to task, but you know what? Germans who come and visit ALL like Miller Lite, and some have even take a case or two back home with them.

A better question would be which is the worst beer…Guiness ranks way up there…maybe it is an aquired taste, but I sure as hell never aquired it. And the headless, foamless, filled to the brim, pisswarm ale they sell in British pubs is pretty sad…tastes like beer that sat out all night in a bowl. By the way, the common thought that Germans like warm beer is a myth. Some older Germans do, but no German bar sells beer that is not cold. Most German beers are good, but some have a more bitter taste and there is something called Weizen Bier popular in Muenchen that is truly wretched. Berlin has a summer drink that is a special beer with a shot of raspberry that is surprisingly good, but only for one or two when it is hot outside. I saw some French soldiers drinking beer and Coke mixed together…that was ugly. But then again, my aunt drinks beer only if it is poured into a glass filled with ice cubes.

I’ll stick to my original answer.

The best beer is the one in the full glass in front of you.

I visited my sister and bro-in-law in Augsburg years ago. That Hacker-Pshorr is some good stuff!

Bass Ale is awesome, #1 on my list.

The rest of my favorites will probably get me laughed at, at the very least:

Miller High Life, Molson Dry, Red Stripe.
