How would I set up my desktop to rotate pictures? Is it very complicated? Then I could have tons and tons of pictures I like (but maybe that isn’t good - I don’t need to be spending time combing the Net everyday for new pictures!)
Mine used to be this. It’s gorgeous, isn’t it? Coolest bit of fanart I’ve ever seen. But then I put up a picture of me! (Albiet, my background is stretched, which means it looks a whole lot prettier, and I look nothing like that in RL. Screwing with color perception does that sometimes.)
Right now I have the generic Windows autumn leaf background. I used to have some nifty Sailor Jupiter backgrounds but my pictures went all wonky somehow and I had to trash them. I keep planning to take some really cool pictures and use them as backgrounds.
A picture of my two nephews sitting on top of a wall next to a sign for the ‘T’ in Boston. Makes me think of them and of Boston - two of my favorite things!
Each of us in the graphics department at work have three monitors. Two for Mac, one for PC.
Mac monitor #1 has a street painting done by J. Beever of tortured souls attempting to escape limbo. Mac monitor #2 is a scan I made out of the pages of a *Hellblazer * comic. It’s a drawing of London with a red sky reflected in the river Thames below, with the words “London’s connected to everything. It’s the dark heart of the world. The ruling seat of the secret kings of Earth.” The PC monitor has concrete steps with the skeleton of a cleaning lady laying on them, her vacuum cleaner sitting nearby.
My co-worker Nikki has Toby Keith on her PC desktop, while her Macs have brightly-colored beach photos. My other wo-worker Jason has The Incredibles across all his desktops, in kind of a wide folding screen marquee style. I guess I’m the department weirdo.
