Chocolate; there’s something about the powdery cocoa mouthfeel and bittersweet aroma of ordinary chocolate ice cream that makes me want to eat the whole tub.
Mmmm…Shiner Bock Ice Cream…my favorite, too! But I like it with ginger snaps crushed in…
Rasberry-Chocolate Truffle. Yummy! Especially Lady Godiva’s brand.
Hmm… would that be to mange tout? (pardon me.)
Cookie Dough! That or any of the astonishing variety of coffee-themed ones out there.
I know you didn’t ask, but I think butter pecan is the most vile ice cream flavor in existence.
Do they make chocolate marshmallow anymore? I never see it anywheres.
Other than that, pralines and cream.
You mean chocolate with marshmallow swirls or chocolate with actual marshmallows in it? If it’s the latter, there’s always Rocky Road, although it does have nuts in it.
My favorite ice cream ever is Bluebell Peaches and Homemade Vanilla. It’s not available year-round, and now that I live in NY, I don’t think I can even get it. =
Almost as good are their Chocolate Covered Cherries, Caramel Pecan Fudge, and the HEB store brand (I don’t remember the name) Greman Chocolate flavor.
Man, I miss Texas.
A Shiner Bock ice cream made by Amy’s??!!!
my favorite beer AND my favorite ice cream!!!
Damn, I miss Texas. I love the Amy’s mexican vanilla with fresh strawberries cut into it.
NO COOKIE DOUGH??? But of those you listed, I love butterscotch.
My favorite ice cream is cinnamon, mint chocolate chip is second. Other notable favorites include peppermint stick, gingerbread and brown sugar, and green tea.
Mint chocolate chip, followed by Haagendaz’ capuccino gelato and Ben and Jerry’s pistacchio.
PEanutbutter and chocolate…mmmmmmm…
Then Mint Chocolate Chip, followed by Tin Roof
I would quite possibly kill for some Blue Bell Peaches and Cream. It’s entierly impossible to find here. On the subject, this page speaks for itslef (although I have yet to find any of the products listed): http://mdn.mainichi.co.jp/japano/0207/ice-cream/1.html
On the highway to Mt. Rainier there is a small grocery store/ice cream shop. A few weeks ago I made my trip there to purchase a gallon of their homemade Mountain Huckleberry. They also make others using fresh northwest fruits using raspberries, blackberries, cherries, and strawberries. While there I had a double scoop of Oatmeal Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough and Mounds ice cream. The Mounds is coconut ice cream with dark chocolate swirls. Both were very good. My wife had a double of Sour Apple and Cascade Road (same as Rocky road, just a local name). She proclaimed both as excellent. For the adventurous they also have buttered popcorn, trout, and beer flavored ice creams.
For store bought ice cream, Ben and Jerry’s Chocolate Chip cookie dough or Dreamery Raspberry avalanche.
I usually don’t care for store-brand ice creams, but Food Lion’s Coffee-Almond-Chocolate-Chip is very good.
Ben & Jerry’s cinnamon, Chocolate Fudge Brownie, & their Caramel Ice cream.
Banana, but without ANY nuts
Pumpkin Pie ice cream–I only saw/had this once, at Temptations Ice Cream in Rockville, MD
very good, guys. keep it coming. I need more ideas to impress my boss.
-STRAWBERRY!
-PRALINES AND CREAM
-BUTTERSCOTCH SWIRL
-BUBBLEGUM
I really love vanilla, especially covered with chocolate sauce and maraschino cherries. A little whipped cream never hurts, either.
But, if I can’t have that, no problem. I’ll settle for my other favorite, Jamocha Almond Fudge.
