What's your favorite potato chip?

If you have a Capriotti’s Sandwich Shop in your neck of the woods, they sell Wise chips there. And Wise beats Lay’s any old day of the week! Onion and Garlic rule, and even the original are better than just about anything else out there! And, on a related topic, Wise (formerly Old London) Cheez Doodles are everything Cheetos used to be, and better.

I also remember the steak & onion chips from right around the same time–and I’m almost positive they were Snyder’s of Hanover. I checked their website and, if they were made by them, they ain’t no more. Pity–they were dee-lishous!

And, silenus, I checked Herr’s website–they list the Steak & Worcestershire chips, but they’re not listed on any of the ordering pages! Are they still around? How can I find them? The local Wal-Mart had them for about a week a few months ago, but no more.

I myself don’t care for kettle-cooked chips much–they don’t lend themselves to piling onto a sammich. I prefer the texture of regular chips.

And if you absolutely have to have canned chips, Lays Stax are much better than Pringles. But the aforementioned Munchos are better than either.

Tayto or King brand Cheese and Onion. I’m partial to Lay’s (original flavour?) in the yellow packet when I’m on the other side of the pond.

Miss Vickies Lime and Black Pepper chips. My sister turned me on to these. They’re my “fallen off my diet” chips, and I can go through a big bag in no time.

They come and they go. I don’t know what Herr’s policy is on production, but I wish they’d put all of their chips back into production, especially in the 1 oz. snacker-size bags.

Wow. Just wow.
They really are different from us, aren’t they?

(Hey, Canadian Dopers, what’s up with all the ketchup flavored chips, anyway?)

Hey, don’t knock it. Herr’s Ketchup chips are excellent. Have one along with a Steak & Worchestershire chip and it’s a crunchy hamburger in your mouth!

They’re really, really good.

Mmm. Ketchup flavored chips are really good.
OT story: The first time my husband ever had ketchup flavored chips, he ate one of those small bags and then petted our white cat, Albert. Albert was pink for two days.

Damn. We don’t have that flavor here. First I’ve heard of it. Sounds great.

O’Grady’s Au Grautin chips. I’ve done a cursory web-search, and apparently the things just don’t exist anymore. A nice, thick chip with tons of cheese flavor on it. And now I’ve got cravings. :frowning:

Cheetos, followed by Lay’s Wavy Potato Chips - plain potato flavor.

Tim’s Jalapeno. Best chip ever, but don’t just take my word for it. At taquitos.net Tim’s Jalapeno tops their best ever list

You’ve not lived until you have a Mr. Bee’s potato chip.

Plain followed by tomato ketchup.

Favourite (UK) brand was Golden Wonder but dont see them around anymore.
