What's your guilty fast food pleasure?

Popeye’s Chicken
Popeye’s red beans and rice
Arby Jamocha shake
and a Culver’s cheeseburger

We have a local chain, “Burgerville”, up here in SW Washington and NW Oregon.
They offer several yummies, in season, such as:
Walla Walla sweet onion rings
Sweet potato fries
Shakes: huckleberry, pumpkin, raspberry, blackberry.
They have excellent sandwiches also. I have to watch my cholesterol, so I only
indulge once or twice a year.

I have many (but unfortunately I don’t get to indulge them nearly as often anymore, now that I’ve lost weight and don’t want to find it again):

Popeye’s chicken (mmm…that stuff is fantastic!)
McDonald’s Quarter Pounder with Cheese (plain)
Burger King Whopper (with cheese, plain)
Sbarro cheese pizza
KFC chicken and potato wedges
Chipotle bean and cheese burritos
Uh oh…now I’m making myself hungry.

Anyone in Detroit - Check out the Chicken Shack. Mmmmmmm…

What am I not fond of, would be an easier question.

My Pleasures…

Big Mac. Egg McM. Fries. and OJ.
DQ Ultimate burger
Arby’s Roast beef - the bigger, the better.
BK Whopper Junior
KFC - Dark meat only. And Bisquits!
Subway Cold Cut Trio

Sigh. Someday it is all going to catch up with me, but until then - Bon Appetit!

OMG, Chipotle burritos aren’t a guilty fast food pleasure. They’re a staple of life.

Are you saying Chipotle burritos are bad for you? Oh no they’re not!

Oh man … Popeye’s red beans and rice, glopped on top of one of their biscuits. (drooling mightily)

I also cast votes for the Ultimate Cheeseburger (with or without bacon) and anything Arby’s with lots of Horsey Sauce

While it’s not fast food (well, depending), I adore chicken fried steak. Even the one at Grandy’s

And I cannot resist a good stromboli. The hospital cafeteria makes them, and when I see them, any reason goes out the window and I get two. More if I’m hungry.

:smack: How could I forgot Taquitos (at Whataburger). That’s my hangover food of choice.

Well…don’t go to their website and build a burrito to get the nutrition facts, is all I’m saying. They’re a bit…caloriffic, if you know what I mean.

But definitely worth it! Mmmm…Chipotle…

Hey, I jog 324 miles/day, I can afford the calories!

There’s a chain of fast food type places here that used to be fairly popular but has dwindled to a very few stores. One of their signature items is a big, breaded, deep fried tenderloin served with shredded cabbage and a creamy white sauce. Pretty good as is but I special order them with a big slab of onion and pickles added.

Good thing I rarely get near one of their locations 'cause I LOVE those things!

Are there still any “Catfish King” outlets down in Texas? I used to travel through East Texas on business pretty regularly about 20 years back, and just loved their catfish. Not much else on the menu was any good, maybe the okra, but the catfish was excellent.

I’ve been waiting patiently for someone to pick up on the idea around here but so far no luck. If anything, the good fish and chip shops are becoming even more scarce with no chains moving in to pick up the slack, other than the catfish at Popeye’s and those dreadful “filet-o-fish” sandwiches everywhere.

I don’t consider proper fish and chips fast food, since it’s made to order from fresh ingredients. But if it were, that’d be confession.

Yep. David Beard’s Catfish King.

Those Walla Walla onion rings are a meal unto themselves, I swear. My Beloved’s idea of a perfect meal is the Tillamook Cheddar Burger, sweet potato fries and(when it’s in season) a fresh strawberry shake.

Here here!!!

I also like their cheese sticks. I’m a sucker for cheese sticks. I could live on them.

I also like Subway, but I don’t really consider that “fast food”.

Several have been mentioned already, but it’s 11pm and my bedtime, so here’s what’s now on my mind from reading this thread, thank you oh so very much:

[ul][li]White Castle cheeseburgers. (Especially the new Jalapeño ones.)[/li][li]Taco Bell Taco Supremes with FIRE sauce.[/li][li]McDonald’s McChicken McNuggets. With McMustard.[/li][li]Popeye’s fried chicken. And it’s gotta be dark meat: wings, thighs, drumsticks. Aw yeah.[/li][li]KFC’s in the house too; edged out on the chicken front by Popeye’s (not that I’d turn it down), but I do love their pudding parfaits.[/li][li]Nathan’s french fries with cheese. (The hot dogs are good too but inconsistent… The Coney Island one is the only really good bet.)[/li][li]Pizza Hut’s Pizza Supreme. (The Full Monty only… I hate their “personal pizzas”.)[/ul][/li]
I’ll gladly chow down at Roy Rogers, Sbarro’s and Burger King at highway rest stops and whatnot, but I have never felt moved to “Go Forth And Eat It Now” for anything from those establishments the way I have the above list.

Also, I have to give a shout out to Yocco’s Hot Dog King in the Allentown, PA area (which is not where I live). When I make a trip out to Dorney Park every two years or so, I always search out a joint. They have this delicious chili sauce that goes perfectly with a spicy brown mustard on nicely crisply grilled hot dogs in natural casing on a toasted bun… Mmm… (An interesting trivia bit is that the locally-famous chain is owned and operated by the Iacocca family (“Yocco” being an Anglicized nickname from the Italian pronunciation of the name), of which the former head of Chrysler is a scion.)

There is nothing like a Fat Bitch from the Trucks with no tomato and extra sticks to make my sweat smell like grease. So delicious. I only get homesick for these babies.

Yep. They have added upscale items to the menu, but haven’t forgotton their roots.

I love White Castle, but only get it back east. Not in California, but I can’t complain because So Cal is the king of fast food. Chains that started here include Taco Bell, McDonald’s, Del Taco, IHOP, Carl’s Jr., and In-N-Out, in fact the ubiquitous crisp yellow corn taco shell was invented by the guy who started Taco Bell. I have had Whataburger. Good stuff. Still wanting to try a Chik-fil-A. Here we have an up and coming chain called Farmer Boys. Great stuff.

I love Carl’s Jr. “Famous Star” with cheese. Charbroiled, but not with that heavy artificial charbroil flavoring that BK uses.

Chicken planks from Long John Silvers. Oh my gods, I love those things.

When I was trapped in Illinois, the only bright spot was Avanti’s Italian restaurant, and their bread. Perfect, delicious bread. And you could get pepperoni pizza bread made with it, which made perfection even yummier.

Maid-Rite. Two Cheese Rites with ketchup only, large fries, and a banana shake. The closest one to me is 2 hours south. Fortunately, my son’s father’s family lives in that town, so I sometimes have an excuse to go gorge myself.

:frowning: :frowning: :frowning:

And the stomach flu continues.

Haaaaaaate jooooooo!

Hope you feel better soon, ArrMatey!

Another vote here for Arby’s Beef and Cheddar (with plenty of Arby’s sauce, not horsey sauce), curly fries, and a big Jamocha shake. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm good. Just had it last Friday, as a matter of fact.

I’m fond of Chipotle’s barbacoa, but only eat half, and save the other half for another meal. They’re big.

And there’s always the McDonald’s quarter-pounder with cheese and a medium fries.

Or a Dairy Queen hot dog with cheese.

Is it lunchtime yet…?
