Mohawk, about 8 inches tall, sides shaved
My roommate cuts my hair for me. #2 all over.
“As little length off fringe and sides as possible, bit off the back, shorter and choppy (to stick up) around the crown.”
Like this;
You don’t want to know how much that costs!
I usually go in and say, “Get it off me.” Get it off the back of my neck. Get it off my ears. get it out of my eyes. Short but feminine, with wispy bangs, layered. If I’m going to be somewhere really hot or humid, I get more of a long buzz cut-like cut. When I say “mainstream lesbian social worker,” that’s what they give me.
Okay. Like this but I have a much better face than she does, or like the one on the left if I threw some gel on it (which I don’t usually). Like the one on the right with big earrings for the tropics.
Nice! I love that style! I had my hair like that for a while over the summer. Now it’s short on the back & sides with longer pieces in front of my ears and more length in the bangs that I spike up with molding paste.
Eh, a picture’s probably easiest: http://i37.photobucket.com/albums/e98/CapeTwirlOfDoom/NewGlasses1.jpg
Good glasses, too!
That owns.
As for me, it’s black fauxhawk. Girl.
Thanks! I used to have a fauxhawk for a while a couple years ago until it grew out. (It was very windy in that pic, hence the craziness of my friend’s hair.) This one was fun to do for a while, though it was more mo than faux.
My wife started cutting my hair awhile back (no, she’s not a stylist; she’s a chef and was very nervous about doing it until I talked her into it - I did haircuts for our whole circle of friends growing up so I walked her through the first couple times.) It’s free and about 80% as good as the haircuts I used to pay 20 bucks for - and within about 3 weeks it’s 100% as good. She just buzzes it on a number 5 guard.
“Just like a little shorter around here ::points:: and see how I’ve got it parted, like, here? ::gestures awkwardly, looking at himself in the mirror:: Yeah, that’s where I, um, where I part it, obviously. And the back should be, um, shorter. I don’t know. I don’t know: how long is a “four”? ::examines equipment, feigning comprehension:: Yeah, maybe a little longer than that, I guess? And the sideburns should be way higher, like all the way up here ::indicates:: and then the sides should be a little shorter, and, like, fade into longer as they go up. No. No, I think that, um… Yeah, I guess. Wait, what did you say about a “fade”? No, definitely not. Yeah, that’s fine. Yeah. Rounded, yeah. Well, the last girl used scissors so… no, I guess that’s fine. No no - it’s fine.”
I give this description every time, and always get a great haircut. It’s all about knowing what you want.
