I usually use Yahoo, because it’s part of my home page.
But since the election difficulties, I tend to go to the New York Times page for official counts, statements, video clips, etc.
Where else is a good place for breaking news?

I read the NYTimes online. It’s generally my homepage. I also read the economist, the London Independent, and The UK Gaurdian online.
I like yahoo, because they have a bunch of different feeds and the like. Most of it’s just a rehash of the good old AP wire, tho.
Yahoo (actually Reuters and AP).
Cnn.com.
New York Times (mainly for the Op-Ed).
Walla and Ynet (for news from back home).
I’m a bit of a news junkie.
probably in that order
I read the Guardian online at http://www.guardianunlimited.co.uk. Recently, they switched their news feed provider from the Press Association to Ananova, so I now get news direct from Ananova. The presentation is a little tabloidesque, but the meat is all there.
I get my football news from http://www.footballunlimited.co.uk
For tech news, it’s http://www.theregister.co.uk
