What's your take on Geico's "little piggy" commercial?

I love it. He’s just so damned cute! And I love the R. Lee Ermey commercials. “Jackwagon” – I am sooo using that one. The Gecko rocks too – when are they going to come out with a plush Gecko?
(I hate those stupid cavemen. Especially now that they’re shilling for the Washington Capitals. WTF? It’s not like they need any more neandrethals – they’ve already got Ovechkin.)

Eh. It’s cute, but not hilarious. It does make me smile if I’ve had a few. But it can get annoying real fast.

I totally loved the R. Lee Ermy one. “Crybaby” and chucking the tissues. Nice.

I dislike all the cavemen ones. And ease up with those remarks on Ovechkin. Sure, I know he doesn’t sound all that bright on air, but there’s a language barrier.

I like most of the Geico commercials, but the caveman ones are my all gone raves. I eagerly look forward to each new outrage.

Did you like the tv series?

On first viewing, it’s a pretty funny commercial (although without the pinwheels it would be approximately 32% less funny), but I’m glad I don’t have to see it on TV all the time.

It’s not the accent – it’s because he looks like he just walked out of the Russian version of Deliverance. I think his theme song should be “Dueling Balalaikas”.
(I think he speaks English quite well, actually. Around here, everyone always jokes about Evgeni Malkin’s accent – and I love Geno.)

Best sitcom in years. It’s really too bad that the strike killed it.

It fills me with meh, but at least it’s better than the “bird in the hand” commercial. That one has a smell of the bottom of the barrel about it. I can only suppose they knew the FCC wouldn’t let them dramatize “Does a bear shit in the woods?” and couldn’t think of any other proverb to use.

It made me smile. But only because this is only the second time I’ve seen it. It’s one of those commercials that would get really annoying really fast. Oh the joys of watching TV mostly online…

That pig would be bacon before the trip ended. This would be the time to close all the windows and leave the car parked in the sun during a 95° day (with some applewood chips in the front seat).

Ah, Charmin gets away with it.

Poor Mr. Whipple must be rolling over in his grave.

I hate it, mainly because I HEARD it a bunch of times before I ever saw it. Several times I’ve been quietly reading in another room while my wife was watching TV, when suddenly I hear this “WHEEEEEE!”, like nails on a chalkboard. I had no idea what it was, except that it sounded awful.

The commercial *should *annoy me, but it makes me laugh every time!

However, the one commercial that I truly enjoy is the M&M’s Pretzel commercial:

That pretzel cracks me up!!

Another take on the Geico “Piggy” commercial.

What I don’t like about the commercial has nothing to do with the pig. It’s that the announcer’s voice doesn’t seem to match his looks. I mean, he sounds like a much older, heavier man. Has he been in anything else?

According to imdb, Mike McGlone has done some acting and also narrates TV documentaries. He’s appeared on camera in “The Kill Point,” “Law and Order SVU,” and also appears on the Starz TV series, “Crash”.

He narrates shows like “Trauma: Life In the E. R.” and the Biography Channel’s “Mobsters”'. He’s also an author and musician, with a few published novels and a couple of albums to his credit.

And that’s his actual voice?

I don’t know. I just posted what imdb said. I haven’t paid any particular attention, myself.

I recognize Mike McGlone from the movie “Dinner Rush”. He plays one of the two mob guys who get gunned down by John Corbett in the basement of Danny Aiello’s restaurant.

It’s definitely not his own voice in the commercials, it’s some very recognizable voice over guy. Or at least, the guy’s voice is recognizable.

I like when he’s squealing out the window.

I hate when they arrive and he thanks the mom giving him a lift in a voice that makes him sound like some damn slacker teenager.
