What's your take on Geico's "little piggy" commercial?

It’s my favorite Geico, but close behind are the

Woodchucks.
mmm

God, I was going to mention this (first in your list) if you hadn’t - the one with the young bear having pieces of leftover TP clinging to his ass, and his mom running after him to clean him up.

The GEICO piggy commercial both annoys me and makes me chuckle. Checking last night, I seem to chuckle right when the “wee-ing” starts up, but then I want him to shut up immediately and empathize with the humans stuck in the car with him. And yes, the nonchalant, “Oh, thanks” part also amuses me.

Put me in the group that says that it totally cracks me up. Abe Lincoln one is up there too. I like the Randy Johnson one OK, but I felt like they must have spent their entire budget on hiring Randy Johnson; because the banged up garage door looks like a big wall size poster hanging on a real garage door.

get some pinwheels and hide them in the car for use at the right moment (not a hazardous situation for driving where she might loose it if driving)

You, Sir, are an evil genius! heh

By the way, I can’t believe that no one has mentioned the part that makes me laugh to hardest…when the camera takes the full body shot of the piggy and he lets go with a “weeeee!” and those stubby, little, hind legs kick out in unison with the effort it never fails to break me up…it’s the attention to those little details which elevates a work of art into a sigh masterpiece;)

The first time I saw it was the link in this thread, and I was unimpressed. Now, I am ashamed to admit that I will always stop fast-forwarding through the commercials when I see the announcer in hopes that it’s the piggy one. And alassnsane, the little kicks kill me, too!

Heh, that’s actually what I like about it. You’re expecting this excitable little kid voice…and then it’s not.

The woodchucks are better.

I love it, in part because my mom loves pigs and I can imagine her laughing her ass off.
I’m visiting home next month, and am sorely tempted to bring a laptop JUST so I can download that somehow, and show it to her in case she hasn’t seen it.
WHEEEE!!! WHHEEEEEEEEEEEE! WHEEEEEEE!!!

Oh nno! I love the “Bird in the Hand!” It’s the lady’s reaction that gets me.

Ooooh, they DO have a plush gecko!!!

Like another poster, we stop the DVR to watch it. But, like virtually every watchable and fun commercial, it does not in even the remotest way make us consider using the product being advertised.

I think it’s funny. I think that the offhand, “Thanks Mrs. A” and her look seal the deal for me.

I also like the woodchuck one, not because of the CGI woodchucks, but because of the old guy shouting: “Hey, you woodchucks, stop chucking my wood!”

The Lincoln one is pretty good, too.

Haven’t bought their insurance, though.

The woodchuck one doesn’t work.

“Can Geico really say you up to 15% on your car insurance? Do woodchucks chuck wood?”

No! They don’t. The whole point of the original rhyme was to pose it as a hypothetical question, clearly implying that it doesn’t ever happen.

Mares eating oats would have been more logically consistent.

I love the pinwheel piggy. Not quite as much as the Snickers “Greensleeves” commercial, but close.

I’m seriously considering making my March to Restore Sanity poster one of the pig with a couple of pinwheels sticking up. I’ll let the sign say Wheeee! though.
