What's your TKP (thread-kill percentage)?

Usually about 14%.

The last month 10 of 69 or 17.4%.

Mostly in GQ and Cafe Society. It could be higher because sometimes the originator will post a thank you for an answer.

10.1 % based on a somewhat representative sample (1000 of my last 2000 threads  )

Feels higher.

I kill just about every post I’m on. In fact, I’m making a concentrated effort to kill this one.

Some “concentrated effort”! :stuck_out_tongue:

No, no, the honor of killing this thread will be MINE!

49 kills/462 threads=10.6% thread-kill rate.

I noticed that my kills tend to come in pairs on the list, too. Very strange…

12.91 percent.

Coulda swore it would have been higher.

Now what’s that other search engine’s name that we’re supposed to use so I can figure this out?

I bet mine’s up there.

110/1440, or 7.64%, counting multiple threads which were locked.

30 killed out of 342 threads.

8.77%

94 of 1113, or 8.44%

The archive only goes back to 09/1999. Over 800 posts I couldn’t use in my sampling. Bet it’s more like 15%.

3 kills from 37 threads…not as bad as I thought. 8.1%*

[sub]*This number is but a sample, as it does not count lost posts from the Winter that almost wasn’t. Actual number may have been higher. YMMV[/sub]

Another one bites the dust…make that 10.8%!!!

Not so fast Skittles.

25 threads out of 296, including the old welby1 user name.
8.4% roughly.

Actually I claim 26, because the thread in my sig was locked by Eutychus, who was immensely jealous of my talent.

3 out of 19, coming in at 15.78%.

When I decided to move from lurker to poster, I swore that if my first post killed a thread then I would never post again.

Fortunately, that distinction had to wait until my second post.

TKP = 7.4%

I’m 15 for 141, or 10.64%

125 out of 875 = 14.2857%

Curiously, I also seem to kill them in bunches of 3 or more most of the time.

I’m sorry, that was 65 out of 875 for 7.428571%

I don’t know how that happened.

Just checking in, man.

Wow, my TKP is 71/1771 otherwise known as 4%. I am shocked it is that low, although I suspect my percentage of pointless posts that contributed no value is much, much higher.
