14 out 171 = 8.8%
18 of the last 100 for me…simple 18% kill ratio
How 'bout some TKP’s for some of the mods.
Cajun Man, Coldfire, UncleBeer, others…how many threads have you killed and what’s your %
Surely y’all can beat these other so-called “thread-killer” wannabees.
I’m not doing the math because I know for a fact this thread is going down now that I posted to it.
If the SDMB had a geek table in the cafe,. I’m the one sitting at it alone.
18/368 = 4.9% during the last six months.
12/362 = 3.3% if you remove kills of my own threads.
Below average but higher than I predicted.
8 out of 181, TKP = 4.4% - I’m damn amazed at this I always felt like I was the thread plague and I could kill any thread just by looking at it. This boosts my ego!
0 out of 23. That’s … um. If y’all will shut now, I can get on the board.
Not entirely true, but if you want to include your really old posts, you’ll have to search for something distinctively “you” aside from your username. (Most of the really old posts show no user name and “Guest” instead of “Member”, and won’t come up if you do vanity searches). If you used a signature back then, search for your sig.
My first post – from 03/1999.
(My standard sig back then was “Designated Optional Signature at Bottom of Post”)
Oh, and to answer the question, I am runnning about 14% TKP (extrapolating from last 100 posts, too lazy to do a more exact count).
Total threads since registration: 122.
Nr of kills on each consecutive page of threads: 3, 8, 3, 2,4 (losing my touch): total 20. This includes my self-killed Donna Tartt thread (no replies, 13 views) and my reply, the only, to an euthanasia thread (figures, doesn’t it?).
That makes 16,39 %. Funny, I thought it would be higher. Guess I mainly remember my heydays as thread-killer, or threadkills leave a bigger impact than normal posts.
BTW: you can knock off the competition by reopening the threads killed by them!
That reminds me: this is a reopened thread which I believe is frowned upon by the Board administration. Now please get out of the way so I can kill this sucker…
TTT, I think some of us need the kill more than you. Observe:
Since registering, I’ve slaughtered 17 out of 278 threads, giving me an embarassingly low TKP of 6.1%.
However, in the last three months I’m at 7.2%.
So at least I’m getting more mundane and pointless, not less.
Quasimodal: registered March 2003, posts 3.
Those must have been some very powerful posts.
65 of 502 threads, ~13%
Out of 226 posts… I killed 17 for an TKP of 13.29
Actually, I think the board considers a thread “dead” if it runs for a week and there are no new replies. Therefore, you are technically unable to kill an already dead thread.
hmmm…did that make sense?
My bet is on Coldfire, among the Mods anyway, maybe it’s the name…anybody else?
BTW I’m still at 18%
Lifetime:
134 kills of 1727 threads, 7.71%
Hmm…seems a certain brother of mine has come over to the darkside. Wish he’d told me about it before I posted under his name.
64 out of 537 – around 11.91 %
(although this one could up the numbers)
12%…3 out of 26. It was a lot more a few days ago, and it very well may change, seeing as how most of the threads I’ve posted on are still going.
4/74 = 5.4%
Like many others, much lower than I thought.
mmm…
mutturing…I’m good enough, I’m smart enough and, doggon it–people like me!
I couldn’t help myself…
and BTW, IIRC I had discovered that bibliophage had about 25% tkp…awesome!
in other words (it’s put up or shut up)
81 kills out of 989 threads = 8.19%
Of course I don’t know how many threads v. kills I have between April and August 1999.
