When Come Back Bring PII A Mobile MMP

I’d laugh if I didn’t feel so crappy :expressionless:

Well, it’s either time for Knight Rider (replay after the fact) or bed. Not sure which yet. I just finished watching the pilot of Murder She Wrote. I’d never actually seen that show before, but since I like mysteries and I like Angela Lansbury (Mame!!!) I thought I’d give it a try since I had some time to kill while TVMan was napping.

Hi everyone! (waveing frantically) I haven’t been able to post, and my parents do not understand my need to spend time online talking to people I haven’t met in real life :rolleyes: so I am so behind and I miss you guys! I have to get off the computer, but since the hamsters allowed me to post a test in ATMB, I thought I would try and get a quick hello in. I will be back in the land of icy and wet on the 29, and will resume talking to y’all soon.

Hugs and kisses to all,

me!

Still have Teh sick. working on my day off.

Hi kai

{{{{Soapy, Muppet, rosie}}}}

The Canadian dollar continues to tank… at this rate, it’ll probably be hovering around $0.75USD by Monday of next week.

Looks like the cost of NYC has just increased by about $500. :frowning:

Hi all, I’m here but too disappointed, pissy, grumpy and evil for polite company so I’ve been hanging out in the Pit where my attitude doesn’t raise any eyebrows.

Didn’t get the job at the credit union and they couldn’t even be arsed to call and let me know–thanks a pantsload, guys. My poor car is still sitting out there unfixed and undriveable and the insurance bastard isn’t responding to calls or emails. Job market sucks ass and I’m out of unemployment benefits as of this morning, it’s fucking depressing to be out begging for goddamned ten buck an hour jobs AGAIN. Add in Himself being a raging cuntbucket AGAIN so I’m sleeping alone AGAIN and that just about sums up my life right now. The only positive I have right now is that the weather doesn’t suck so I’ve been running Widget alongside my bike, which he loves and which doesn’t make my knee hurt.

Oh, and the online Discovery Channel player sucks balls–it streams like a seventy year old prostate cancer victim. They need to learn a few things from Hulu, is all I gotta say…

NOW aren’t you glad you asked? :D:smack::eek:

Traditional “cheer up” used in Pamplona and surrounding regions between July 15th and noon on July 6th: “hey, we’re getting closer to Sanfermines!”

Yeah, they last from noon on JUly 6th until the weest hour of July 15th, why do you ask?

[G.M.]Back in the day, my impression was that, overall, CDMA was a slightly better technology than GSM (being a bit newer), but had two major disadvantages:

  1. No SIM card, the number is wedded to the hardware and can only be changed through Customer Support. (also, memories, setup, etc… are wedded to the hardware.) This is IMO actually a major downside.
  2. CDMA got pretty much “betamax-ed” out of Europe (i.e., two roughly-equivalent technologies, one of them just won…) For various reasons, Europe is a much more lucrative market than North America (mostly, IMHO because you guys have to pay for incoming calls and texts, or at least they count towards your plan.) East Asia seems to be more of a CDMA market, but IIRC most Japanese and Korean carriers cover their whole country, so roaming is less of a consideration, and hence you can have GSM carriers there as well (the same, on a much smaller scale, is true of Israel – universal coverage, hence technologically mixed market.)

Hi GT!! ::Waves back:: :slight_smile: :slight_smile:

{{{Rosie}}}
{{{Smartie}}} – that suck big time; I’d be right pissy and evil in your place, too :frowning:
{{{Ivory}}} – even if it’s minor.

Hi Kai; Hi Nava!! :waves some more:

{{{Smarty}}}

It’s early. Will there be a nap in my future today?

{{{SmartiePants}}} It’ll get better. You’ll find a job. Hang in there!

Howdy kai!

Feel better BioRosie and all y’all under the weather.

Speakin’ of weather, there’s a front comin’ in and tonight and tomorrow should be all kinds of stormy. It already feels that way outside. On the up side, I’ve had the AC off and windows opened all week. Feels soooooo good!

Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffienatin’. I have an urge for a Krystal breakfast bowl this mornin’ so I just may do that for brekkies. Havin’ a Krystal right by da workplace makes that convenient.

Special1 from what I’ve learned so far CDMA is clearer but GMA offers wider coverage overall. Plus the SIM card is a distinct advantage.

YAWN Time for more caffiene…

Later Y’all!

Up and caffeinating here too. ::waves to all:: I’ll bbl today with a more substantiative post, I hope. :slight_smile: Happy Thursday - one more day until Firday. :slight_smile:

Urgh. Awake. Good night lat night, but may be getting sick again. A cold. Noooo.
Okay, today: run errands, fix Mr. Lissar’s coat, do some cooking (curry?), maybe bake bread. Take nap.

Yes, I like the SIM card. The first two phones I had I sent flying off the top of my Jeep within a two week period. :smack: (Yes, I tended to put things on the roof of the car when I buckled the kids into their care seats.) I have a vague memory of no SIM cad and had to reenter my phone book by hand. Kinda sucked! The next two phones I messed up had SIM cards so were much easier to replace! :rolleyes:

OK I’m up. Off to pack N. O. Lunches…
Morning! :slight_smile:

I had my windows open all last week and part of the week before. Then it got cold (“chilly” to you farther north, “warm” to you Canadians) so I turned on the heat this week.

I’m dropping large hints to Mehe Roommate to get her dog neutered and de-fleaed. Hopefully that will happen soon. Petercat is allergic to fleas.

Up cafffeinated, off to work on my day off.

Afternoon, Mumpers! Looks like it’s hugs all round today then? Hope you’re all soon feeling better and brighter!

Yesterday afternoon got very exciting at work when my monitor blew up! There was a loud bang and smoke and everything. I had to wait a while this morning for the IT guy to find me a spare one but it now looks like he’s going to petition TPTB for a new 'puter and monitor because this machine is abysmally slow.

Bumba, I did explain to 'im indoors that leaving a message where I won’t see it is pretty silly and told him next time to stick it somewhere sensible like on the calendar in the kitchen or the front door. No doubt he’ll think it’s a good idea for 10mins and then forget all about it.

We went out for beerverages last night but our friends didn’t come with us 'cos one of them isn’t too well. So we went to our local and had a few drinks, and then he announced that he rather enjoyed our trip to Vegas last December and he wants to go again. In January. And he’s paying. Woo and hoo!

I’m off for lunch (N.O.L!) and a cup of tea now before the afternoon onslaught.

okay, at work now and better caffeinated. :slight_smile:

Sorry, hugs for lots of folks, starting with Smarty. It’s good to see you again, kai and very glad that you’re having a good time, but looking forward to your return to cyber land. :wink: Cause I miss ya!

I’m back on NSAIDS for my arthritis, prescription strength that is. It’s helping, thanks be.

That’s all I’ve got, except TG tomorrow’s Firday. :slight_smile:

Stopping in to say hi!
<stealing Rosie’s sig>

Hugs, Yays, Boos, Pats-on-Back, Smacks-Upside-Heads, yums, and a smattering of eeeeewwwww! Please distribute as needed.

At work, caffinating. I didn’t have any happy left in the jar this morning. I’m grumpy and not in the mood for any shit today. Maybe it will get better as the day goes along.

I’m at work, trying to stay awake. I even broke out the Diet Coke with caffeine but it doesn’t seem to be helping. After I deliver lunch I’ve got to pick up about 30lbs of chicken for this weekend. Then, hopefully, it will be naptime!

Off to look for pumpkin and leaf cookie cutters…
