When the plague is over in the MMP

When running constantly, water vapor may freeze on the cold coils and eventually block the flow of air from the fan that moves cool air in the ductwork. Shutting down allows the ice to melt.

Wow! My first contribution to the recipe blog.

Thanks GT !

Sorry about the axolotl nut.

Glad that the terlet is fixed Moooooom.

Nelson is home now. He horked in the car on the way home, so his car bed is in the wash. He’s allowed a small, bland meal after 8, so I’ll fix either some oatmeal or rice in chicken broth. He’s in my lap asleep as I type. I do need to pick up some Velveeta to pill him (antibiotics) next week. Pilling critters and rotel dip are the two things that stuff is good for.:stuck_out_tongue:

Skritches given from the Mumpers.

Stay safe and healthy y’all!

Skimmed, retained nothing, offer rosie’s sig by way of compensation.

It’s been a day. The peds specialty office figured out how to text people that their kids’ referrals were ready to schedule so me and all the other specialty peds schedulers were swamped today. Which means it’s the perfect time for the phones to crash! I welcomed grocery shopping as a relief from work.

Now it’s cider o’clock. Rosé cider at that!

Evening all. Changed batteries as suggested by Alien but the system cut out again about 2-3pm. Just saw flytrap’s suggestion and despite my better judgment, I’ve shut down the system for a little bit and we’ll see if that works. Thank goodness for the large overhead fans in all the rooms, it’s still 92F outside.

Big Bowl O’pasta consumed for dinner so stomach is in a happy place.

Congrats on the terlet fix FCM

Red, glad Nelson is doing well.

talker, I am waiting to see what the AYSO soccer does for the fall…we usually start gearing up about this time and they are taking registrations, but…

All y’all wish me luck, am about to re-start the AC.

Can you look at the coils and see if they are icy? I would turn off the A/C and run the A/C fan to quickly melt the ice.

This was my first thought-- the coils are icing up.

It’s Friday, and we didn’t go to Paso del Norte for margaritas. I mean ‘Mexican food’. (And margaritas.) Amazing. I went to the supermarket and got tequila and margarita mix, and I picked up some fish’n’chips from the hot deli. The f&c weren’t bad. Not as good as I make, or from the f&c truck at the harbour, but I can’t complain for seven clams.

The bunnies both had water. (We think Jackson likes to play with his bottle, because it’s usually empty before the other rabbit’s is, and the floor of the pen is always wet under it.) And the cloud cover has mostly gone away, so it might be worth it to go out and look for the comet again.

71 outside, and weather-dot-gov says that’s going to be the low tonight. Blecch. And back up into the 80s tomorrow. Double blecch.

The system is outside and it’s still 90F, so…no. But shutting the system down for 15 minutes seems to have worked, it quite a bit cooler now. Just need to remember to take steps in the morning to ‘deice’ and all should be well.

I vaguely remember that is a symptom of being low on freon, or whatever they use now.

Extra busy shift, but made it. I went out to pick up beer and beef. It was 95, with a heat index of 105. Made it home and walked Gordie 5min before the thunderstorm hit. VET tomorrow!

Sorry about the axolotl, Nut. :frowning: but congrats on the A+

What does that portend? Gordie will be taken to the vet to be “tutored”?

He was tutored 14 years ago. VET is Voluntary Extra Time. Doing extra work. For pay, even

Howdy all I have been a bad Mumper this week but I have been sort of busy. I cleaned out one of three closets and hubs made multiple trips to the Salvation Army store to drop off all my clothes that I was going to fit into one day. I found a box of blinds that I purchased years ago and he finally installed those.

I went to irk this morning since my contamination period is over. I only stayed a couple hours as the weather was not good so I high tailed it back home. Hubs is putting a new A/C unit in the living room/ kitchen so he had emptied the other closet to access tubing so now I have no excuse but to sort that closet too. Then it will just be drawers and a standing wardrobe type thingy. I shan’t have any clothes but that’s OK I guess.

Sorry about your axolotl Nut and Cleo Fcd and glad **Nelson ** did well with his tooth cleaning. It’s always scary putting the little to sleep.

We have had a day of mostly rain and at times very heavy rain which we need. I think there is a small tropical system forming right over us. Happens often.

On June 1st when the county took the road block down there were only 109 cases of the plague. Now in a month and a half we are at 768. Locals are begging for the roadblock to be put back up but I think the horse has already left the barn. I had to send in re-gating plans for my job and it said we will move into the next phase after two weeks of no positive cases. I don’t see it happening anytime soon. I have work to do though as I have to do all my employees evaluations and re write my open/closing SOP using the new director’s specific template. I still have not met him.

Hubby is doing great. It is remarkable how well. He was given a new lease on life. He is due to go have an echocardiogram next week and see the regular cardiologist and then see the Interventional cardiologist a week later. I am not going to the first appt due to my job requiring two weeks of ROM (restriction of movement) each time I go to Miami cause it is the epicenter of the pandemic right now. I do want to go to see the valve man though so either I go and don’t tell them or I go and do tell them and stay home for two weeks which I would do anyway. I absolutely do not go anywhere except the grocery and go there as little as I can. At work this morning I only saw one person about 12-15 feet away and I was masked while we exchanged pleasantries.

Y’all be safe out there. And Metalmouse Freezing coil is a good sign of low refrigerant which means a leak. Call your guys back.

@sahirrnee, I’ve known lots of dogs who loved being hugged. Some don’t. They’re individuals, as much as humans, cats, etc.

@SCAdian, both DH and I really do feel like airflow is hindered by masks, so we’re ordering one of those cute finger oximeters from Amazon (I made sure to select an HSA eligible to make sure it’s medically valid) so we can obtain some objective data of our own. It’s possible that he or I have oddities you don’t :). We do both wear plastic face shields in public, which IMO have to be at least as good as bandit-style bandannas or masks worn only over the mouth, leaving an exposed nose.

Bizarrely slow irk day. First call I got was after lunch. So, of course I get a call that winds up running 30min (guy seemed determined to dawdle) starting 15min before the end of my shift. Grandboss didn’t seem annoyed, thankfully. We’re ordering magic Internet Chinese food, in quantities that assure multiple meals from the order. Tomorrow is zombie day over here.

bleh watta week … aunt emptied her kitchen for the eventual move now it echos in there …shes slowed down a bit but i still can’t convince her that work doesn’t make you free …and yes i need to lose weight but that doesn’t mean i wanna work like a sharecropper …

Maybe the house won’t cost so much that she can buy/lease 40 acres somewhere and farm til her heart’s content

Did have one strange thing happen today …ok going back a ways some of you might remeber when krispy kreme donuts went nationwide for a while and then had to pull back cause of the recession? Well the one in my area was one of them that closed … but kk owned the building/lot sos nothing ever moved in there … WEll today was their 80th & something year of existence and they usually give out a free glazed dozen to the first few hundred through the door this year to separate the mooches from the real customers it was buy one get one free and you used a code … WEll as swampy sez i developed a gnawin and a cravin for krispy kreme and you can get them delivered… so i took a chance and found out that they had reopened in their original spot yay!

Sos I ordered a regular dozen (they were out of my faves the all chocolate donuts… natch)
and put in the code at checkout and got the free dozen glazed and was waiting the hour it was gonna take for delivery Well i know 2 dozen donuts is a bit much but i figured by tuesday they’d be gone mostly …well apparently the way drive thru read the order was I ordered 2 doz donuts and didn’t get my free doz so they gave me another free dozen … the delivery guy comes up totin a huge bag and my aunt was like WTF? and i was like i didn’t get a lot … sure enough i had 3 dozen donuts …

and my cousin whos on me about my weight 24/7 365 was told straight away and i said i only ordered one and apparently the other two were becuase of the birthday thing …asshole that he is he looked it up on the net and called me out on it …

Condolences on the pet losses i still miss my rescued ragamuffin …she meowed her last right after she turned 19

Hope every one cools off and have a nice weekend

My lovely wife thinks so–when lovely wife encountered the cleaner, lovely wife perceived the cleaner to be studiously avoiding eye contact and pretending she didn’t see lovely wife. The asinine thing is that if she’d approached us to say wearing a mask was too hot or whatever, we’d have worked something out–we already paid her for several months of not cleaning. Lovely wife and I had a long talk and decided that we’re not into explaining the problem and trying again. It created too much stress and eroded our trust in her. If I were a passenger in a car and it turned out the driver had decided to drink after stating she wouldn’t, I wouldn’t give her another chance to kill me even if we had a long relationship.

With losing my job, I am struggling to bring in 20% of what I typically earned by this point in my career, and we were already ambivalent about keeping her on. I have time on my hands. I’ll do most of the cleaning. She’ll get a letter with payment for the next cleaning and an economic explanation for stopping.

Filbert, I’m sorry about your axolotl.

Up, caffeinated, and sheveled. Off to work

Good Mornin’ Y’all! Up and caffeinatin’. YAWN 'Tis 74 Amurrkin out and clear with a predicted high of 96 and mostly N.O.S. for the day. Up stoopid early again. No big plans at all today. I do foresee some quality cee-mint pond time, however. Any need to feed will be via forage. Took a poke tenderloin outta da freezer for tomorrow’s N.O.L. so we can look forward to that.

Butters glad hubs is doin’ so well! Here’s to continued gettin’ better.
