Hair last, just 'coz I end up dribbling shampoo into my eyes and would have to finish the washing process blind if I did it any other way.

I start with my head and work my way down.

If public restrooms were designed with anti-bacterial principles in mind, you’d never have to use the doorknob on the inside, after you washed your hands, after the guy before you didn’t wash his hands.

Me too. The wash-body-while-conditioner-in thing.

It seems the quickest and most practical thing to do.

I can sing along in the shower to this number:

  1. Head,
  2. Shoulders,
  3. Knees; and
  4. Toes.
  5. Knees and toes.

Followed up with contacts lenses, cleaning my ear piercing and shaving. So I can keep singing:

  1. And eyes and ears; and
  2. Mouth and nose.
  3. Mouth and nose.

I do! Only I don’t wash my guy parts, you know, not being a guy and all that :wink:

Body then hair. The first spot I soap up is my face (I shave right before I got into the shower- I have less irritation this way.) Then the rest of my body (including naughty bits.) Then I shampoo my head. If I feel like it I use conditioner, but I usually apply gel to my hair so it doesn’t matter if my hair is full of body.

I wash my body from the neck down, then my hair. My face is washed very last with only water (soap dries it out) to get all the shampoo out of my eyes.

I grew up without showers, but even when I had them, I don’t wash my hair in there at All.
I have always washed it in the kitchen sink.
Dunno why.

I like variety. Usually start with the upper body first. Not much hair, ok ok, bald as an egg, so really it’s a 30 second job so I do it whenever. I also shave in the shower since I know where my face is. Never condition if you care.

  7. Bottom
  8. Back
  9. Neck
  10. Face

Don’t know how or why I developed this routine, nut been doin’ it this way longer than I can remember (which, of course, is getting shorter and shorter eveyday).

If I’m shaving my legs, that’s first.
Then shampoo round 1.
Then full body soap, in order from top to bottom.
Then armpit shave.
Then shampoo round 2.
Then cool water for facial wash.
Then drying and moisturizing.

Well, here is the current tally:

18 people wash their hair first
9 people wash their body first
1 person washes their hair after their face, but before the rest of their body
2 people have no hair to wash
1 person has hair, but never washes it in the shower

Badtz Maru- I don’t think there is anything wrong with bar soap… as long as you aren’t sharing your germs with others, who really cares?

I’m a programmer, so top-down is the way to go for me.

Shampoo and rinse hair.
Noxzema wash face.
Soap rest of body.
