When you were a kid, did you have those pajama pants with the built in feet?

Because I think they should make regular pants just like that. Then you wouldn’t have to wear socks.

Well I dunno about pants, but when I’m sick and feeling truly sorry for myself, I wish I had a pair of big footy pajamas to snuggle up in.

They were the BEST pyjamas ever. I think Sears may still sell them.

I had PeeWee Herman pajamas with the footies when I was little. I loved them. Then the man exposed himself in a porn cinema and suddenly they weren’t considered appropriate.

My sister is getting footie PJs for X-mas this year. She’s 14.

They were great for a while but I would always wear out the feet welll before the rest of the pants and my mother would have to cut the feet off. They would look a little ragged after that. I think the feet should be rubber coated or something.

Mine were pink with little bunny faces all over, and had the little non-skid nubbies on the bottom of the feet. I used to love rubbing the bottoms of my feet together, not just for the sound, but to see if I could set my feet on fire (never succeeded, but they did get really warm).

Dunno about nubby footy jeans. Just seems wrong.

The ones we got for my sister are, and the ones my toddler wears have rubber soles.

Now I want a pair. woe So cute and cuddly and fuzzy…

Gotta love cutting-edge technology. Back in the 70’s those innovations simply were not available at least to the great unwashed masses like my family.

Yeah, I had feeties. Now that it’s getting “cold” here (sort of, it’s South Florida, so not really cold) I’d might wear feeties again.

Mine were white with red, horizontal stripes. I looked like a candy cane.

I wanna new pair. And it MUST have the trap door too.

Would it be wrong to say that I still wear footies now? No? Good. And you can, for the most part, still buy the at places like Wal*Mart. The only drawback is you have to purchase both the bottom -and- top. Still we’re only talking about $15. Woohoo, those things are sweet! Sadly for me, I’m so cold natured that I have to wear socks inside them (and then sometimes even add my house shoes on top – having that tempature setting is such a bitch).

<shudders>
I had those - they would either snap or zip up from the waist to the neck, and mine were usually made of flannel. I shudder because I have eczema, and since those things would make me hot, they would make me itchy. My parents finally gave up on making me wear them when they would come to wake me up in the morning and find the pj’s flung across the room in a pile and me in my undies.

I had what we called a “sleeper”. I guess it was like a jumpsuit, but with feet. The only problem was that I couldn’t get myself out of it (the zipper required more dexterity than my baby hands possesed,) so going to the bathroom at night meant I had to wake my parents up. I definately crapped down the leg of it once :smack:. I’m not sure when I stopped whereing them. Probably by the time I was 4.

I’m not sure I’d like pants like that. Sometimes I like having some air circulation around the ankles.

Yep. Mine were light blue and I loved 'em. I was pretty young though

The ones I had had traction on the feet, but it was some kind of plastic-y material, and after awhile it would get stiff and crack.

I looked up ‘adult footie pajamas’ on google and i’m suprised that I didn’t find one porn site, just sites offering adult footie pajamas.

Not after I turned five or so. Mine were pale blue and were the jumpsuit variety. Really itchy too… didn’t care much for them.

That’s the ones that I had too. They would pretty quickly crack to the point where my mother would have to cut the feet off. So traumatic.
