For what it’s worth, I saw Police Beat last year at its Seattle film fest screening. It’s pretty good: not really a straightforward story movie, more a haunting piece of visual and emotional poetry. And by coincidence, it begins a one-week run tomorrow at Seattle’s Varsity theater. Definitely worth seeing, if you’re interested in unconventional cinema.
Based on Police Beat, I’d say Mr. Devor is approaching the horsecock tale with something interesting up his, er, sleeve.
