Where all the single wimmen at?

Would early forties but otherwise conforming to your requirements count? I know several.

I’m 40, but I like cats (and they like me), so I figure that cancels out.

Fair enough, but where are you?

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA…Oh BOY! I have so many  friends in magic that just HAS to be funny! hahahahahahahaaha

Erm yeah…that would be about right…not a single ONE of you from the UK…!!!

:frowning:

Whoa. Have I mentioned how exotic and exciting it is to grocery shop in South Florida?

(Besides, if anyone needs a legal editor, it’s me.)

ANSWER: Hiding from desperate single men. The wimmens, they can smell the desperation.

Wow. I wasn’t expecting so many responses.

I wasn’t in Port Richey, but I’m not that far away (I’m visiting my parents up in Citrus County for the holidays). I was in the Barnes & Noble in Ocala near the Paddock Mall, over in the sci-fi/fantasy section. Although I think I was in the cooking section at one point.

 If I’d known being an editor was so attractive, I would have tried for a promotion years ago.

Where in South Florida? I’m in West Palm Beach most of the year.

That’s not quite what I meant. There are certain things here that are done in certain ways (and with certain key phrases); but I was trying to be on my best behavior, gramaticallywise.

Forty is NOT too old. I’m in tropical, balmy central NY, in Ithaca. Why, you not happy in Mass?

No, I rather like Boston, and I’m looking for a house. But when you said

I thought it was fair to ask where “here” was.

Ithaca is south of… Syracuse is Heaven? When the hell did that happen?

-Mr. Goob, mid 30’s, owns a house that my cats let me use, is nice shape and in balmy raining Western New York.

Wherever I am is south of Heaven.

Sometime we have to have a upstate NY Dopefest. Summer?

Believe it or not there is more to New York west of the Hudson. We are proof, I’m almost to Buffalo. Once the weather clears I’d love to take the motorbike on an excursion east.

Heh. My daughter met her current boyfriend in her D&D group. I started gaming in the early 80s, and while I was usually the only female in my group, I’d meet other female gamers on occasion even back then. Now, there’s lots of girls and women who play FRPGs. She didn’t take up D&D to meet guys, it was something that she thought she might enjoy, after hearing me talk about it practically all her life. It was a case of her getting involved in a hobby, and a guy came along who was right for her. She likes SF and fantasy and anime, and so does he. He’s a nice guy, a little shy, but he’s passed inspection.

False. I’m on my way there in a few minutes. For like the 10th time in 2 weeks, desperately looking for a nice girl who maybe I can attempt to approach. If that fails, I’ll stealth my way into the sexuality section and flip through Sex for Dummies, paying close attention for when anyone approaches. I’d hate for anyone to see me.

Yeah, I have issues. But I’m single. :smack: :frowning:

Well, I’ve certainly never seen you there. So I’m not sure if I believe you…

Perhaps I’m hanging out in the wrong sections of the bookstore. (Of course, part of my misplaced sense of self importance means that I can’t look at the “for dummies” or “Idiot’s guide” books. I don’t care how well written they are, I’m not about to proclaim to the book store cashier that I’m a dummy. Won’t do it.)
