Where are you going on your next vacation?

Bonaire for a week, in, well…about a week.

Cyprus in April for a friend’s wedding. It will be the first foreign trip with the little 'un - I’m not sure they make planes big enough for all the shit we’ll have to bring.

Not sure about the summer - our customary “fly somewhere and see what happens” approach is probably on hold for the next 20 years or so. We might get no further than the mother-in-law’s in Kerry, which is always brilliant craic.

I’m taking a few days off in a month to go to DC for an all-day oral assessment test. No, not much of a vacation, but it ain’t work, either.

You guys sure do travel! My husband isn’t much of a traveler. We went to DC for a long weekend last year. The last one before that was a quickie wedding in Vegas. I just told him yesterday that I want to do the Sundance Film Festival next year. After reading reviews of all the movies, I wish I was there this year. He didn’t give a positive or negative response, but I have a feeling I’m going to find someone else to go with. ;(

Ignace, Ontario. Well, not Ignace, actually, but my in-laws own a cabin on an island on Upper Scotch Lake in northwest Ontario and Ignace is the closest town.

Two weeks or so of fishing, hiking, reading, and getting by with no electricity or running water. The highlight of every year.

Hey yeah I remember you the last time I was there!

My next vacation will be to Ireland in May so I can not make it to bike week. Then during the summer I plan on hitting Glaicer National Park in Montana by motorcycle and I will have seen all 48 lower states, by motorcycle.

Just as soon as I snag enough bonus miles to get a free roundtrip ticket to Vancouver, BC, I’m on my way there!

Of course, that’s going to be a few years down the road. Until then, I’ll have to imagine that I’m on vacation. :frowning:

I often find it ironic that I live in a resort town that millions of people flock to each year, while I can’t wait to escape it. :stuck_out_tongue:

Tesa - prisoner to a tiny income :stuck_out_tongue:

Well, maybe we’ll go to D.C. for a long weekend. We love it there. I wouldn’t mind a cruise, but I’m not sure my husband is interested. This will be a trip to celebrate my earning my degree. We wanted to do this earlier but money was way too tight.

We don’t plan big trips just now because Cranky Jr is too little to get a lot out of a fancy trip somewhere…but he’s not old enough to stay with grandparents for very long. After 2 nights he really starts to miss us; by night 4 he’d be pretty upset. So quick jaunts for us. Which is fine; we miss him too when we go.
