Where Are You? (Online World Map of Dopers)

If it’s not too late, I’m located in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada (closest big city is Vancouver).

Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Population 23,006. Saaluuute!

Downtown Atlanta, Georgia

Hi, just woundering if you could change Vällingby to Stockholm,
because it’s a suburbun to it, and I don’t think so many here nows where Vällingby is.

Ok, the USA map is updated through Gazoo. The file size is about 500K, I’ll work to reduce it this evening.

Thanks for the image size advice, people.

Anniz: Of course they know where Vallingby is, there’s a dot on the map showing them. But, if you don’t object, I do for you what I’ve started to do on the the USA map:

Stockholm Area
Anniz, Vallingby, Sweden

I’d like to think the people of Michigan and Wisconsin for spacing themselves out in such a civilized manner. Though I am wondering if Gazoo smells bad or something. All the other people in Wisconsin are as far away as possible without actually leaving the state (or perhaps the Wisconsin border has an excess of static electricity).

obfus, those are awesome. Thank you so much for volunteering for this. I’d never have been able to make such cool pages.

Rysdad of Richfield, MN, here. (Just south of Minneapolis)

Cool map!

Just to prove that I’m not full of myself, iampunha, phantomdiver, and I all live in the Washington, DC area, not the Rockville, MD area.

And, Anniz is from Vällingby, not Vallingby. There is a difference.

Challis IDaho!!!

well, i see that you’ve already got someone from springfield, il. surprised that he’s smiling, though

but, yeah, mark me down for there, too.

near cleveland ohio…count me in

I’ve received a report that there is a javascript error on the USA map for at least Netscape 4.74 (but it works fine with IE). I know it worked on Netscape when I left work today, but I don’t know what version of Netscape my work machine has.

But, regardless, I can not find an error in the code. If anybody wants to take a look at it and let me know if they find anything it would be appreciated.

I’m kind of hurt. You’ve made it through gazoo and I’m not included?

Canoga Park, (Los Angeles) CA USA…

And you are never gonna be able to fit everyone! Yipes!

stoid

I can tell you that whatever the error is, it’s showing up in IE 5.5 and in Netscape 6. When I move my pointer over each smiley, I get a Javascript:Void(number) error message
