I met a lot of my boyfriends in bars. Not the recommended way to meet someone but it worked a few times for me. I’ve also met guys walking through the mall, the grocery store, the parking lot, etc. It just happens. They’re everywhere!

Patience is normally best.
Haste can cause you pain, and increases the chance you will find the wrong person, or a person who is mean to you.
Move slowly. You are young. The right man will wait for you to be ready, not force the issue with guilt, begging, or anger.
Do what you like to do. Sports, arts, culture, exercise - try to find someone who does the same.
Do not rely on friends to introduce you, unless they are good, smart friends who know both you and the man well.
Look for early warning signs that the guy has bad habits, is a criminal, is abusive, and break it off if so.
And, if you really are interested, I’m sure there are lots of needy lesbians out there who would love a smart, pretty Swedish girlfriend…
