I used to sleep on a waterbed, the kind that’s a baggie full of water in a box. And, during the course of any given day, I’d find myself trying to figure out where those bruises on my arms and legs were coming from…
…turns out that in the night, I’d roll over, hit my arm and/or leg against the side of the bed hard enough to bruise me, but not enough to wake me. sighs
Since switching to another kind of bed, it’s cut down on the amount of mystery bruises I’ve had by a significant amount. They still show up from time to time however, with no real rhyme or reason, in interesting and exotic locales. My Sister and Mom are the same way however, so perhaps there’s something genetic at work.

I’ve had a lot more phantom bruises since getting kitties. A lot more phantom, paw-sized bruises. Not for nothing is one of our cats nicknamed Peg Paw.
Well, as I recall, you didn’t walk into any doors or furniture in my house. You didn’t even trip over the dog - which is a feat of its own!
About the vehicle thing, I was gonna offer to drive, but I figured being a guy and all, you’d feel threatened if you couldn’t have your hands on the wheel.
Oh yeah - and there’s another bruise on the side of my left leg that mysteriously appeared <glaring at Wikkit>
High blood pressure? Wouldn’t that mean more blood would gush from damaged capillaries into your interstitial spaces? So a minor bang would results in a bruise?
I have low blood pressure, but poor vitamin habits; I believe that’s where my msytery bruises come from.
