That would be wonderful!!
You are messing with the surgeon’s statistics.
He really needs to look inward for that. You don’t scold patients for getting infections!
The infection could have contributed to the pain that Hilda wanted to scare out of your body. That doesn’t work, either.
Envision Star Wars storm troopers marching through your bloodstream from the antibiotic IVs. Google your drugs and make sure none of the slop, I mean food, clashes with the drugs. You want the antibiotics to be unimpeded as they annihilate infection!
Damn Pancho! He left crud behind so you wouldn’t forget him! His mother obviously didn’t teach him, “If you can’t say something nice, don’t say anything at all!”
sending major corn dog thoughts to Beck

Discharge to home or back to rehab? Either way, you’ll get better food.
Congrats on being staple-free.
^^^I’m actually still in the hospital. I’ve been moved to the stepdown/rehab unit here.
I’m doing my PT mostly. I’m suffering the food.
I’m continuing the roam abouts. Finding adventure and creating havoc
I’m sorry that you had a bad kidney and had to have surgery and endure the bad food, the PT, the infection, the pain.
But I must say that these threads on your travail through the experience - hospital>rehab>hospital - have been entertaining.
Sending good thoughts your way for continued progress toward good health and getting back to your family of wrekkers.
Beck are you using FaceTime or something similar to talk with family? See your kitties?
Glad the PT is going well. I know you’re looking forward to being home soon.
Yay for no staples, yay for walking around and causing trouble. Are you trying staircases or are they off limits.
I’ve been booted to work from home in a move that happened too fast for me to prepare a place to work (because I need two monitors instead of just one and the computer is not a laptop). I’m happy to be mostly out of the way of disease but am worried about horsepitals being places loaded with germs for you. Get better quickly, but while you are there, waste some time looking for tasty recipes of the food you have been indulging in during recovery.
Dropzone, you keep us posted too.
I’m not particularly religious but I am saying prayers for you guys.
The hospital is being very pro-active about cleaning and handwashing. No visitors anymore.
I’ve been tested and am COVID free. I’m staying apart from others. This is easy for me, I’ve been doing it for years. I never use doorknobs barehanded. I carry hand sanitizer where ever I go. I’m long term germaphobe.
Lunch was a loverly bowl of Alpo-flavored chili. Yum yum. I ate the crackers and the banana. I’ve found the coffee shop downstairs will take an order and bring it to my room. Yay!!
Didn’t you say there’s a Sonic across the interstate? You could wander over there.
Can you drink caffeinated coffee? Have one for me. All this dump has is decaf and my kids can’t bring some in.
>>>>>beck’s on lockdown<<<<<
I’ve checked several exit doors. They are all locked. I should call the fire Marshall. I’m assuming they are on some kinda of automated thing. I hope.
I was in the coffee shop. I could see the front entrance. They checked temps and made everyone wash up the the elbows. Don shoe covers. No face masks, I guess they’re running low on those.
God, I need outta this place.
b… head toward the exits in a orderly manner. (running, screaming and flailing of arms not needed)
Here’s the plan:
Put on the paper hairnet, the overgown, and booties. A pair of gloves would also be nice.
Sneak over to the atrium by the front door. Sidle next to one of the stormtroopers vetting visitors.
(This is the key part!)
WALK BACKWARDS to the front door!
Report back here soonest!
