Thank you. I’m generally an easy going, unstrident person, but I think the abortion clinic response is possibly the lamest, least funny post I’ve ever read.

Huh, I’ve seen “Dogma” but didn’t remember that line. Tho’ I don’t remember much from that movie since I thought it was dull (YMMV obviously).
Now I’m torn, the comment was a moderately obscure pop culture reference which gets points but the comment still rankles. Maybe it’s the context, if I had known it was a quote, it wouldn’t have pissed me off. Hmmm…
What’s being a quote have to do with it? Because something’s in a movie makes it ok? I don’t think so. The posters didn’t frame the comment as anything but an attempt to be clever. The :dubious: reflects on the “easy” women, not the comment. The source of something like that doesn’t make it any less insensitive.
I’ve never known a woman who had an abortion because she was “easy”. And I’ve certainly not known any woman who went to a clinic to be picked up on.
The comments suck.
Well, you see, it’s a quote from an incredibly stupid person – Jay, the loudmouthed simpleton who hangs out with Director Kevin “Silent Bob” Smith.
Ah, so that’s the movie it was from! (Someone I know has a Live Journal icon with a picture of Jay and that quote).
mangeorge, it’s a quote from a character who’s moronic enough to say that sort of thing. In other words, it was a tongue in cheek comment.

Lonely Woman on the internet I have found, That or single mothers - They always need some lovin’. Blockbuster - If you ever see a woman alone at blockbuster with no ring on, RUN, Don’t walk over to here and start talking - Chances are she pretty lonely. That or offer woman walking down the street a ride, well if they are decent anyways. I could offer up a few more but wouldn’t want to offend the sensitive in the crowd.
Stop by Carson City, NV sometime and give me a buzz and I’ll take you out to the brothels in Moundhouse. It’s about 10 miles from home and there are 4 of them. 3 are next door neighbors. Sort of a super mall for humping. My understanding is that you can get all the action you want, until the money runs out.
Weddings. Not easy, so much as desperate (my god, my friends are all getting married I’ve gottofindahusbandNOW!!!). But if you’re not concerned about breaking their hearts afterwards, it’s a well-stocked hunting ground.
You could try hanging out in a fabric store. When a hot babe comes in, ask her for advice. You want to start quilting.

I gotta third that one. I thought it was pretty crass even by Kevin Smith standards. The only answer I can think of that might be more offensive is “battered women’s shelter” or “rape crisis center”.
