Honestly, if i wanted to spend the night watching (or didn’t have other stuff lined up, and expected i couldn’t stay away from watching all night) i would try to join or organize a zoom watch party with friends.

Hmm, I’m wondering if there might be any interest in doing that with people from here?

I remember there being a NY Times “needle” on Election Night 2016 that was crunching all the numbers and states and counties yet to report, etc.

Sounds like this “needle” thing is gonna be kind of clunky tonight, due to some of the NY Times folks being on strike.

Chances are that CNN will be live-streaming their coverage, which will be open to everyone at no cost. They always do this for important events. I recall watching the 2016 election results that way. Don’t remember about 2020.

Just to confirm, as expected CNN is indeed live-streaming election coverage tonight and it’s open to everyone at no cost, right on their home page.
