Why “bless” a bunch of thugs ? - and, if one should judge by how his remark passed by with only Lucretia calling him on it - while dandrews02’s remark that the marines died defending the US received no end of grief, then Der Trihs at least appeared to receive tacit approval by more than a few SDMB posters. Apparently saying the marines died for a noble cause is outrageous and beyond the pale, while saying the dead marines were a contemptible bunch of thugs is just a-ok.

Not SDMB’s finest hour.

At one point in one thread or other, he says he would rather not breathe the same air as our returning veterans, and I’d like to invite him to live up to the spirit of that statement by not posting on the same bulletin board that many active duty soldiers and veterans post on.

Agreed on that one. Der Trihs obviously has a very hard time separating the soldiers from the Brass (and from the uber-Brass civilian warmongers). I sometimes really do wish he’d just shut up or at least not post on military topics…he’s not helping…

I would have to agre with you on the above, but I think your hatred of said soliders is unjustified, because you can’t tell which soldiers killed in self-defense (Which I call A-Ok) and which killed without justification.
