A lot of these ladies mentioned in this thread qualify if you just consider their headshots, but for some, “Yeah, but…boobs!” seems to apply. A spectacular rack on a decent face is a winning combination
There seems to be a huge adoring fan base for Norman Reedus (“If Daryl dies, we riot!”) and neither I nor the missus can see why. Even without the lank, greasy hair and perpetual sweat-sheen, he’s just not a very attractive guy.
She was devastatingly beautiful in Baron Munchausen. When I saw her in Pulp Fiction I had to keep asking my companion if that was her. Whatever she used to have, she’s now weirdly alien and not all that attractive.
I’ve always thought that 50 years from now people will wonder what we saw in Julia Roberts. I understand why people think Angelina Jolie is attractive but she doesn’t do it for me.
Ugh. You just reminded me of who my poster child for this topic is. Taylor Lautner.
What is wrong with people? He doesn’t even look human sometimes. That Neanderthal brow, the super-low hairline.
I do hope this doesn’t turn into a mean-tweets thing. Taylor, if you read this…I’m sure you’re a very nice guy. And I greatly enjoyed the Field of Dreams parody you did.
And just to illustrate how movies can make almost anyone look good. See Zoolander. Owen Wilson and Ben Stiller look genuinely very good sometimes in that film, where as in real life I think the best that can be said is their faces “have a lot of character”.
…holy crap…I’m never getting a job in the movie industry after this thread.
Please tell me where you live so I can move there!!!
Mila Kunis was ok on That 70’s Show, but grew into an extremely attractive woman in my opinion. I’m glad other peoples mileage varies
It’s been a few years since she’s been famous but Renee Zelwegger for me. Her face looks really scrunched up to me. She reminds me a lot of an ex too which doesn’t help.
Bradley Cooper and Ryan Gosling are both supposed to be the super-hotties right now among the ladies. I’m not seeing it. I wouldn’t look twice at either one of them walking down the street.
+1.
Her entire repertoire is scrunching up her face and whining, and she’s not particularly attractive even when she isn’t doing either one.
I can get behind a lot of these here.
Angelina Jolie looks like a puffer goldfish to me. Bulging eyes, puffy lips, bubble cheek bones, not a t all attractive.
Agree Mila Kunis is very plain jane.
For some reason I remember Sarah Jessica Parker being attractive in Honeymoon in Vegas but anything after that she really looks homely in.
Don’t even get me started on Kim Kardashian. Does any male really find her attractive besides the heavy breathers who get all hot and bother over enlarged breasts, booties, and eyelashes?
I forgot about her - she has a pudding face.
epbrown01 I agree Cameron Diaz looked lovely in The Mask - I don’t even think she looks awful, I just don’t see her as this great beauty - and she is far too skinny.
In The Mask she was the hottest woman I’ve ever seen. Something changed after that.
I agree. She didn’t do much for me in That 70s Show. But she stunned me in Forgetting Sarah Marshall.
This is how I feel about almost every “hot” actor/actress. I mean, is Natalie Portman, or Charlize Theron, or Leo DiCaprio or whoever else good looking? Yeah, sure, but excepting heavily the airbrushed photos, I don’t feel like they’re exceptionally hot. I don’t mean like “0/10 would not bang” as the internet meme goes, I just mean I don’t feel like their attractiveness merits the level of worship people tend to heap on it.
Maybe I’m just spoiled by regularly being on a college campus, and thus used to seeing large numbers of hot girls/guys every day.
I wouldn’t go as far as to call her average, but there is something that I cannot get into with her. I see so many saying she is the most beautiful woman in Hollywood or she is stunning and I just cannot see it.
Julia Roberts is not attractive, and I don’t mean not “Hollywood” attractive, I mean not attractive.
I want to be clear that I don’t think they’re average. They’re mostly above average. I just feel like they tend to be considered more like in the .01th percentile for attractiveness, which is what I don’t get.
Oddly, my first thought is the exact opposite of yours. Salma Hayek is made of hotness; Penelope Cruz is, at best, not ugly. And it’s Hayek’s face I like best; her boobs are too big for my taste. Cruz’s smaller bosom is more to my taste, but for me the face is a deal-breaker. If I don’t like that, I won’t like anything.
I also am underwhelmed by Halle Berry. She’s not ugly, mind you. But her face seems kind of … bland … to me. She just does not inspire lust in me.
Really, you pass by a dozen Russian Jewish women every day?
Where do you live?
For myself I never understood what women saw in David Schwimmer or the guy who plays Loki.
I also never got why so many guys drooled all over Pamela Anderson, Paris Hilton, or Tara Reid.
I thought she was Ukrainian?
Gals such as Cindy Crawford, Jennifer Garner and Jennifer Aniston, in my opinion are just a step-up from average-looking. I do not view Heidi Klum as being an outstanding beauty either. I thought the stars of yesteryear were much more attractive, such as Lana Turner, Vivien Leigh, etc.
I mentioned in a “Cougar town” thread about a year ago that Courtney Cox and Christa Miller appeared to be in some kind of plastic surgery competition with each other. Ten years ago they were both fairly attractive but now they just look like freaks.
