Agree with everyone mentioned so far (Cusack excepted, maybe).
Humphrey Bogart - the toughest thing about him is understanding whatever comes out of his mouth
Gene Kelly
Danny Kaye
Michael Douglas - Can’t.Stand.Him.

Will Ferrell and Adam Sandler aren’t funny. Both of them will ruin any thing they "act"in for me.
Preach it! Ditto Will Ferrell and Adam Sandler for the same reason.
I’ve never liked Jack Nicholson in anything but “The Shining”. To me he brings more “I’m Jack Nicholson playing this character” in a movie than actually being the character.
Check out Clay Pigeons. He had real potential before he started specializing in doughy losers.
I can’t believe no one has saId, SOPHIA VERGIA (sp)
she makes Modern Family almost unwatchable
And Speed and Little Buddha and especially The Devil’s Advocate which had a cracking script but was let down by Reeve’s wooden performance - I sometimes wish they’d made it with Brad Pitt instead.
I feel bad about this because Reeves is apparently incredibly philanthropic with his movie earnings but anything other than his “Whoa!” roles (e.g. Bill and Ted, Parenthood) just doesn’t work for me.
Adam Sandler. Every time I see his stupid smarmy face and hear his weird voice I want to punch him. The only thing I ever liked him in was Hotel Transylvania–where I didn’t have to look at him and he did a different voice that didn’t sound like himself.
Jim Carrey, most of the time (though I did like him in Truman Show, so maybe just "Jim Carrey when he’s trying to be funny).
Jessica Alba. She’s not attractive and she’s a lousy actress.
I’d add Nicole Kidman to this. She seems okay as a person (compared to Cruise) but I can’t watch her “act.”
Kristen Stewart.
John Travolta- everything after Grease was crap.
Will Ferrell- he did great in that film where he played a IRS agent who had a writer narrating his life-* Stranger than Fiction*- he actually can act. Which makes all his crap that much worse.
Melissa McCarthy. Not funny. Obnoxious.
Jessica Alba. Can’t act, wont take off her clothes.
Kirstie Alley.
Katherine Heigl- Ok, she’s not bad. But they keep giving her stuff beyond her reach.
Well there was that Oscar thing.
And Raising Arizona (1987) (Gotta be in my Top 50 movies anyway.)
I’ll see your Elizabeth Shue and raise you Tea Leoni on “Madam Secretary”. The only expression she has is that squinty smirk. Or maybe it’s a smirky squint. Either way, I can’t stand watching her.
I will add my “Me too” to Sandler, Ferrell, and Carrey, and toss in Jeff Goldblum. First thing I saw him do was The Big Chill, and he was actually perfect in that role. But he plays the same character over and over again with minor variations on the theme. Even the stupid commercial he’s doing about polygons makes me want to smack him!
Oh, and Mariska Hargatay - always looks like she’s sucking on lemons.
Jim Carrey. Just too damn annoying to tolerate. Oddly, I didn’t mind him at all when he played The Riddler in Batman & Robin. I’m pretty sure it’s because the Riddler was supposed to be an obnoxious dick, in which case Jim Carrey was the perfect choice.
Katherine Heigl, Kristen Stewart, and Sandra Bullock. I will do my best to not watch anything they are in.
Also, how has BEN STILLER not been mentioned yet?! He’s way worse than Will Ferrell and/or Vince Vaughn. That Ben Stiller somehow gets to keep making movies actually pisses me off.
Also surprised no one has mentioned Jack Black. I think he’s awesome, but I’m certain not everyone feels the same way.
Heh. Now I’m raging about Ben Stiller…
There are two actors who, for no specific reason I can name, annoy the hell out of me:
and
I think it comes down to their little mannerisms and tics. But for whatever the reason, I really dislike watching these guys on screen. I force myself to do it, though, when it’s a well-reviewed movie. So I guess I’ll suffer through Paul Dano as Brian Wilson.
I don’t want to speak for you, but Paul Dano’s face just. . . pisses me off. It’s a shallow and terrible thing for me to say but I find him unattractive in a way that provokes an angry response. I think he’s a tremendous actor - or could be if my hatred of his face wasn’t so distracting.
Ribisi, while not classically handsome, is tolerable. Or he would be if not for that schleppy voice.
There, did I clear that up for you?
I guess fame is fleeting – there was a time when Andie MacDowell’s name would have shot to the top of this list, but I guess my age is showing here, because her last really high-profile role was back in the mid-90’s. I think her main problem was that, like a lot of the other actors named here, was that she only had one setting (Andie MacDowell) and her fame just slightly exceeded her acting talent. She was quite good in Sex, Lies, and Videotape, though.
Although I don’t disagree with this assessment, I did like him in A Cool Dry Place. I wish he would go back to roles where he can actually act.
She’s one of the few on this list that seem to be disliked for her actual “acting”, as opposed to having an obnoxious personality.
