Which cartoon character would make the best President?

Homer Simpson is the obvious candidate for America. I don’t know if he’s a good president, but he’s a white male age 18 to 49. Everyone listens to him, no matter how dumb his suggestions are-like Nuts and Gum. The slogan he used to run for sanitation engineer, “Can’t Someone Else Do It?,” is a thought echoed by many Americans. Homer is obviously the perfect choice.

And on his first day as president, he falls asleep, launches a nuclear missile by mistake, and all of a sudden we’re at war with Canada. Oh well, you can’t win 'em all.

I abstain.

Yup.

Hank Hill! He would solve the energy crisis through judicious use of propane!

…and propane accessories!

Prez, obviously.

I was thinking Boomhauer. He’s an honest, good-natured guy and loyal American. He will never be scandalized in the press for something he says.

“Them dang ole…, I tell you what!”

Catch and Release: Synopsis of the Criminal Justice System

“First Teen President…” isn’t that unconstitutional?

Under-Dog

C’mon…you all know that if a cartoon character could be president, it would have to be Mr. Burns, even though Mr. Krab would be a better choice due to his sound fiscal policies. Having Burns as prez would be like having a slightly less evil Reagan back in office

Bruce Wayne. The guy runs a huge international corporation and fights crime as a superhero. You know that he’s smart and moral and isn’t afraid to take on challenges. He’d take some heat for being a Big Business guy, but you know that he would still fight for the little guy, so I’d expect him to have pretty broad appeal.

Leopold from The Simpsons. He could whip this country into shape in no time: “All right, you little punks!”.

And how’s that different from what we have now?

Other than the fact that Burns could think rings around Bush, I mean…

Yakko, Wakko and/or Dot. Or Brain. Or Freakazoid.

Ah, I see…so the local liberals are just dying to see this thread thrown into the Pit. And people say that conservatives are hot-headed…

Rikwriter, surely you must, even as a conservative, recognise that Bush just doesn’t have the smarts to compete with Monty? That’s not a partisan position, is it?

I accept the nomination…oh, wait. I’m not a cartoon.
BrianMalion

Freakazoid’d be a kickass president. I’d break my no-voting policy to help him get into office. I’d break my no-begging policy to get episodes of that show.

Unfortunately, he doesn’t meet the age requirement. So I think the best elligible president would likely be Secret Squirrel. He’s smart, resourceful, and wears a purple hat.

Of course it is, and as presented is nothing more than a partisan slam. If you want to keep it up, I will—and this whole thread will be yesterday’s news when the mods move it to the Pit. Your choice.

How is that a partisan slam? I’m sure Montgomery Burns is a republican.

Lighten up

Jon

No. I won’t accept without comment insulting comments that treat slanderous lies as accepted fact. If you have a problem with that, tough. You have two choices: keep it up and I will respond in kind from the other side of the aisle (which, you may note, I have not done yet), which will get this thread locked or moved. Or drop the political insults and get back to the subject.
