Whoo, Purgatory!
My greatest sin was gluttony. Hehe. Gluttony…the sin that no one remembers. Gluttony…the little sin that could.
So, in Purgatory, my reparations will be made by going hungry for a bit. Big whoop. The Proud have to carry huge stones on their backs, and the Envious have their eyes sewn shut and balance on the shoulders of their neighbors. Going hungry…pffft
Limbo! Woo Hoo! I get to spend eternity with the cool non-Christians!
I imagine something like:
“Sup, J. Why don’tcha let us on over? There’s no cable here.”
“Sorry man, can’d do it.”
“Sure you can! Unless all of our philosophising about rocks and lifting them and shit is right…”
“Fine, I Won’t do it. Happy now? No? Good. Now piss off. I gots me some fine virgin ladies to save!”
Anybody remember the punishments at the various levels? Just want to know what I’m in for in the Sixth Circle (although I still think I should have been stuck with the “lustful” and not the “heretics”).
It says here that I am one of the lucky ones! Because of my virtue and beliefs, I have escaped eternal punishment. I am sent to the First Level of Hell - Limbo!

Damn. Level six (heretic). And I was hoping to be a righteous pagan.
Apparently I score high on Lust as well, and moderately high on Gluttony and Violence (the last one baffles me, as I’m about as nonviolent as they come, but OK…)
Darn it, I only made it to the 6th level. I feel gypped. I do, however, resent the implication that not being a big fan of bitter herbs makes me a glutton pout.

Eek - Fifth Level. I had not realised I was all that curel and vindictive.
Wow!
Fifth Level of Hell
The river Styx runs through this level of Hell, and in it are punished the wrathful and the gloomy. The former are forever lashing out at each other in anger, furious and naked, tearing each other piecemeal with their teeth. The latter are gurgling in the black mud, slothful and sullen, withdrawn from the world. Their lamentations bubble to the surface as they try to repeat a doleful hymn, though with unbroken words they cannot say it. Because you lived a cruel, vindictive and hateful life, you meet your fate in the Styx.
