Aside from the obvious choices of Firefly and Arrested Development, Pushing Daisies, Wonderfalls, and The Unusuals spring to mind for me (and in the case of the last two, probably only for me).
Parker Lewis Can’t Lose
Kim Possible - maybe they could do a college years series.
Firefly
and The Unusuals.
they didn’t give either a chance.
I was ready for **The West Wing **to keep going with the new administration. I know some thought it had lost something the last few years, but I hated to see it end.
St. Elsewhere and Hill Street Blues. Loved those shows.
Freaks and Geeks
My So-Called Life
The United States of Tara
Northern Exposure
+1
The Unusuals – that was the one with Jeremy Renner, wasn’t it? Excellent show.
For me it’s Terriers and Kidnapped. At least Kidnapped is on DVD, but no Terriers yet.
I’d watch a new version of Mary Hartman, Mary Hartman, and Fridays – there’s no good skit comedy anywhere.
I’d like to see Reaper, which was another Fox series, revived. It also ended on a cliffhanger (involving the main character’s father). And I also miss Rome, Deadwood, Terriers and Pushing Daisies.
I support this.
Also, Significant Others, a funny Christopher Guest style psuedo-improv format that nobody watched.
Yep, I just caught Reaper on Netflix a few weeks ago. I started getting bummed when I was nearing the end of the second season and I knew there wasn’t anymore. It would be a great fit on USA these days. I think all the other networks have mostly given up on the hour-long comedy-drama formet.
Dead Like Me
Pushing Daisies
Stargate SG-1
Stargate Atlantis
Firefly
The X Files
Reaper
Brimstone
Angel
Buffy
I’d love to see Star Trek back in some form or other
I’ll say Torchwood, in its original monster-of the-week incarnation. I know many people didn’t like that version, and preferred the mini-series structure of “Children of Earth”. But I liked the original cast lineup, and after “Miracle Day,” I think the whole government conspiracy thing is played out - and it was already played out after The X-Files did it, at least to me. I’d just like to have an interesting little alien/monster/time-travel story without a major conspiracy behind it.
Kim Possible
Daria
*Cupid *(the original, with Jeremy Piven)
Father Ted
Lie to Me
Beat the Geeks
MST3K
Doug
*Fantasy Island *(either version, or better yet both)
Twilight Zone
Veronica Mars
I haven’t read this thread, but I’m going to guess Firefly has been mentioned, let’s see, 56 replies, I’ll say 16 times.
Doing a search now:
Holy crap! 17 times including the one I wrote in this thread.
Early Edition
Picket Fences
Outsourced
Hee Haw
Laugh-In
And no way to know how many others there are like me, who didn’t name it only because it had already been mentioned so many times.
I opened this thread to get titles to search netflix for, and I wasn’t disappointed.
I thought I hadn’t heard of Brimstone, but when I checked wiki, it was familiar. I assume I heard about it here. I’ve heard of Deadwood, but never seen it. The two that I hadn’t heard of at all were **The Unusuals **and Reaper. They are now on the list.
I can only think of one show that hasn’t been mentioned. I’d vote for Middleman, Pushing Daisies, Dead Like Me, and Wonderfalls. And I’d like to nominate **Rocky and Bullwinkle **for revivification. If you haven’t watched it as an adult, don’t judge me until you do.
I like **The Tick **and would probably watch it again, if there were new episodes. But somehow I don’t really crave new episodes. And Connections (1 - 3) and **The Day the Universe Changed **were great, but they were well contained. I could definitely go for a new series by James Burke, though. I think I also saw one called Pinball. He has other books out that haven’t been converted to TV, so the possibility is there.
Oh, and **Firefly **goes without saying.
