Which fictional characters would vote for Trump?

Tom Buchanan.

ETA - sorry, I forgot to explain my answer. But I think the quoted passage explains everything.

In real life lots of self described evangelicals ignored all the bad things about Trump and voted for him, mainly for his stance on abortion. So I could see Ned doing that, although I don’t think he’d be happy about it. He’d probably see it as a “hold your nose and vote for the lesser evil” scenario.

Homer would support Trump at first because he’s the sort who would just believe whatever Fox News tells him (this was actually a plot once). But Lisa would talk him out of it before the election.

I asked this question regarding The Office a while ago, here are my predictions:

As for Michael Scott, he would’ve loved Trump but would’ve also fucked up voting for him by doing something stupid like taking the paper ballot with him so he could frame it, or write-in “America”, or something.

George Jefferson, but not his wife or neighbors
Tim the Toolman Taylor, but not his wife or neighbor

Cthulhu.

I wonder what our Ayn Rand fans would answer with. Do they see Trump as Wesley Mouch or Hank Rearden?

The OP said no villains.

But Sauron would definitely vote for Trump. Then he’d handle him the way he handled Ar-Pharazôn – work his way into a Cabinet position, gradually convince Trump that he needs to build up the strongest military that the world has ever known to start a vast war, which will result in the destruction of America.

I think Trump would fall for this even more easily than Ar-Pharazôn did.

polishes glasses ah, so it did.

First, nice list, and good character studies.

But help me out: why wouldn’t Kevin vote for Trump?

Ned Flanders wouldn’t vote for Trump. He probably doesn’t vote at all, and views voting - much like house insurance - as a form of gambling.

I don’t think Kevin votes for Trump because Kevin, in his heart, is a good guy. Of all the people in the show, I think Kevin would have been very put off when Trump mocked the disabled reporter. With some more thought, he would possibly fit in the Never Trumpers - of the three in his category, he is the one I think would be most likely to have voted for Hillary.

And thanks for the compliment!

From King of the Hill:

I think Hank Hill would vote for Trump so would Bill Dauterive and probably Boomhauer. Dale I’m not sure–he’s such a conspiracy nut I doubt he even votes at all. I don’t think Peggy would. Or John Redcorn. I doubt the Kahns would vote for Trump either.

From the Simpson:

I think Homer might. And probably Abe as well. Marge and Lisa woud not be Trump supporters at all, that’s for sure. Neither would Patty and Selma. I don’t Skinner would vote him. Mr. Burns probably would though he might count as a villain. Mr Smithers would be NO.

The Stand

Stu Redman - Trump voter 2016, will find a way to be disgusted with him by 2020 which won’t cost him his conservative friends (all the other guys in the gas station: Trumpers, and proud of it)

Frannie - Hillary

Nick - Hillary

Ralph - Trump. May not vote for him in 2020, but votes the full slate of R’s behind him (Stu may do this too).

Glen - Hillary.

Larry - Libertarian, or no vote.

Tom Cullen - M O O N spells I D O N T V O T E.

Harold Lauder - Shit, Harold’s on Trump’s transition team.

Nadine Cross - saved herself for Trump.

Kojak - Would never support Trump.

Judge Farris - Tough one. Hope he went Libertarian, but probably listened to too much FoxNews by now. Judge Farris voted Trump. And gladly.

Lucy Swann, Dayna Jurgens, Susan Stern - Worked ceaselessly for Hillary 2016, now they are activists.

Looking @ Wiki’s list of characters, I can’t find any of Flagg’s crew which might have conceivably voted for anyone other than Trump.

Homer might consider it, look at Lisa’s face, and make sad noises and vote H. Bart would vote Trump just to piss her off. Krusty might angle for a pardon for his various crimes and vote Trump.

I saw a good point about KOTH. Hank would NEVER vote Trump because he burns his steaks. Personally, I think Trump is too crass for Hank. He’d vote McMullen or Romney or McCain. (Assuming this is all 2016 as I think too much is going to happen between now and next November to say for sure…) Dale totally doesn’t vote. It puts him on lists. Bill… I think he’d be tempted by Trump but if he met Hillary, he’d be dazzled by her and go gaga for her, as he did over almost every woman on the show.

Lucky would don the red hat. Cotton I say is 50/50. He might really hate the draft dodging and going after the Gold Star families.

I don’t know if they count as true villains, but with the new season of Veronica Mars, I’m going to say almost all of the 09ers and 99% of the Balboa County Sheriff’s Dept vote Trump.

I could see Hank Hill having the same dynamic with Trump that he has with Buck Strickland–he’s knows they are both morally flawed and even bad but he still supports them nothing the less. (If you remember Buck had a an electric cooktop in his home and Hank was disgusted but he still supported Buck.) And Buck cheated on his wife as well. And had a gambling problem.

This reminds of an NCIS episode where William Devane was a guest star. I forget the exact position he was supposed to have held, but he was in some type of secret organization, apparently back in the 80s. At one point he was asked by Vance to reveal the details of a top secret program he had been a part of. He said he could only reveal those details by order of the president. When Vance said he would call the president to get the order (at the time it was Obama IIRC) Devane’s character replied that the order would be good only if it came from the president buried in Simi Valley (Reagan). That character would definitely have voted for Trump, and so would Gibbs and Vance. I think all the other main NCIS characters except for maybe DiNozzo (the first go round, but not in 2020) would have voted for Clinton or third party.

John McClane and pretty much every other character Bruce Willis has played, as well as Dirty Harry and pretty much every other character Clint Eastwood has ever played.

Not an Ayn Rand fan, but I did read “Atlas Shrugged” until I figured out who John Galt was, and the answer is actually Dagny Taggart.

I could also see Chris Griffith from “Family Guy” being a Trump voter, and so would his #1 fan, Herbert the Pervert. Ditto Quagmire, because he admires Trump’s onetime alleged sex life.

That guy on “Manifest” who survived being underwater for a week? Trump all the way, except he died first in a very dramatic fashion.

Beavis and Butthead would vote for Trump, just so they could ogle Ivanka.

Buffy:

Hilary voters:

Buffy
Willow
Xander
Angel(US citizen?)
Tara
Cordelia
Oz
Joyce

Trump voters:

Anya
Warren
The Mayor
Principal Snyder
Riley
Caleb

Petyr Baelish - definitely a Trump voter.

Lord Varys (the Spider) - Probably voted for Trump in a last-minute decision; unsure about 2020.
