Which TV character has the most annoying family?

The reason for this can be rational, or irrational

I’m looking for something to watch and stopped on an old episode of Law & Order: SVU until I realized it featured one of Stabler’s kids. His entire family was extremely irritating and they didn’t add anything valuable to the show. They only existed to give Stabler more excuses to fly off the handle, with made him pretty exasperating in his own right, but that’s another thread. There were criminals, who appeared in one episode, who were more sympathetic and less grating than that recurring “normal” family.

Probably just me, but the entire cast of “Everybody Loves Raymond”–minus Debra (Patricia Heaton)–was annoying as hell, including Raymond. Glad it’s off the air.

Mister and Mrs. Costanza?

Extremely close second.

Most fans of Dexter are very not fans of his wife Rita. His step kids and son aren’t that great for story lines either.

I have come to hate the family in “The Americans”. I sat through 2 seasons and I’m done with the show. I’ll go into detail later. It was important to say it now.

I know people are going to hate this but Modern Family. Ed O’Neal should have stayed with his first dysfunctional family.

If you took Dexter, removed every single scene that didn’t have him in it, and ran it like that it would improve the show a billionfold.

Not that I didnt love Deb and her potty mouth.

If all the Whites and Schraders had suddenly died in one episode I would have only mourned Hank.

My vote is Michael Bluth’s family from Arrested Development.

Other than Endora and Aunt Clara, Samantha’s family/witch friends on Bewitched were pretty annoying.

Grady Fletcher from Murder, She Wrote was awful too. I usually skip over episodes if he is in them.

I’m voting for a sleeper: the Petrelli family from Heroes (TOS).

Does anyone remember a CBS military drama called The Unit? It was made by the same team that brought us The Shield and I had high hopes for it. It was about a unit of Special Forces soldiers who would go on various cloak-and-dagger missions around the world. It was also about their awful, useless, drama-llama wives and all the headaches they would cause in every single person they encountered.

There was exactly one episode of the show that didn’t have a “the wives do something stupid again” plot and that is my favorite episode.

One of the wives is now a character, Lilly, on The Walking Dead. She’s the one that looks so much like Maggie it’s hard to tell them apart.

Live action: Tyrion Lannister: Jaime Lannister is the only halfway decent one.
Cartoon: Does adopted count? Stan Smith and his alien Roger Smith

Maureen was particularly irritating. Very entitled and bratty.

I might have to nominate Tony Soprano. Carmela’s not terrible, though she’s pretty humorless and sanctimonious. (OK, she’s pretty terrible! Very well portrayed by Edie Falco, though.) As for Meadow and A.J…[Marlon Brando]the whining…oh, the whining[/Marlon Brando.]

Blue Bloods. That whole Reagen family should be taken out and shot. ESPECIALLY the three grandchildren.

Thread winner.

Is the Camden family from “7th Heaven” disqualified simply to give everyone else a chance to participate in this thread?

How can you not love Frank?
