"Which would you choose" game for a Friday afternoon

We’ve done similar games where you choose between two different options, but usually the options were more on the silly side (would you rather eat a bug or listen to the Carpenters for a week). I propose we do one with slightly more serious options. Pick one option and explain why, then add your own scenario - I’ll start with two scenarios:

Scenario One:
Would you rather write a song and sell 50,000 CD’s, or have millions download it for free?

Scenario Two:
If you were the victim of an accidental hit & run, would you use your last breath to leave a message for your loved ones, or say the name of the person who hit you?
Usual disclaimer about being sorry if its been done before yadda yadda who cares.

Scenario One:

I have been in a handful of bands, FWIW… I’d rather have millions download it for free… Why? Because if millions are downloading it for free, there will be tens of thousands who would go to my concerts, buy my T-Shirts, posters, etc.

Scenario Two:

I’d say his name. Accident or not, my loved ones would feel better being able to put a name to the blame.

Scenario 1:

I would rather write a song and have it downloaded by millions. I’m a bit of a purist when it comes to music so I don’t like all the pomp and circumstance surrounding the industry today. I’d rather be a musician who gave a timeless gift to many, than someone who extorts what they can and fades off into nothing.

Scenario 2:

Leave a message for my loved ones. Probably a message to my brother and/or my son. it would be “Get the bastard -insert name- who did this.”

Like on the Simpsons:
"Tell my beloved wife my last thoughts were of her…blinding and torturing Abe Simpson.

You have to come up with another scenario!

Scenario One:
Would you rather write a song and sell 50,000 CD’s, or have millions download it for free? Have millions download it for free. I’d rather be well known for writing/recording music that was good then make money off of it…plus, as Sejal_Traurig mentioned, you’d have it finacially made anyway, what with concerts/promitional t-shirts and the like.

Scenario Two:
If you were the victim of an accidental hit & run, would you use your last breath to leave a message for your loved ones, or say the name of the person who hit you? Eh…neither. I think I’d rather say something weird to freak out whoever could here me, maybe burst into a sporadic rendition of Barracuda sung at top volume until I’d exausted my last energy supply. Whatever would achieve the best “what the hell” reaction from those gathered around to witness my final moments. (With my loved ones, that’d be all the reassurance they’d need that I was all right with dying, and certain of going to a better place).

Scenario One:
Would you rather write a song and sell 50,000 CD’s, or have millions download it for free?

I’d rather release it into the wild, and let it roam where it may. Karmic law dictates that I return something for everything I’ve dl’ed, but in all honesty I’m not sure I could pay someone to take something I’ve written.

Scenario Two:
If you were the victim of an accidental hit & run, would you use your last breath to leave a message for your loved ones, or say the name of the person who hit you?

I would leave a message for my husband, telling him how much I always loved and needed him. If there’s not enough evidence at the scene for the cops to catch who did it, it doesn’t matter. Justice will be found whether in this life or the next. Time is too short not to dwell in love.

Scenario One:
Would you rather write a song and sell 50,000 CD’s, or have millions download it for free?

I want the money. LittleSnoopy is going to need a fund for medical school in about 20 years.

Scenario Two:
If you were the victim of an accidental hit & run, would you use your last breath to leave a message for your loved ones, or say the name of the person who hit you?

Tell who hit me so my family can sue the shit out of 'em and put LittleSnoopy through med school
