Whisky Tango Foxtrot!!! Shooting at the Holocaust Museum

thinks hard Uh…no.

Less than two months ago there was a thread in which several people commented that there was not much anti-Semitism nowadays:

Believe me, it’s still around.

Negroes are the footsoldiers for the jews, you know.

-Joe

He was one of the loonies who also had rabid anti-Christianity as one of his main things - see http://www.antichrist.net/vonbrunn.html - he apparently believed that Christianity was yet another example of how the Jews have corrupted the world.

As for him being a WWII vet - there is a pretty strong idea among neo-Nazis/fascists/radical nationalists in a number of countries who fought on the side of the Allies (UK, US, Australia, etc) who believe that these ‘White’ countries were tricked/manipulated by ‘The Jews’ to fight against their fellow whites.

The stupid is strong with this one!

A paleonazi?

THIS might be just the break the McCain campaign has been waiting for!

As a Jew, I feel I should say something-

But my usual jokes about the blood of unbaptised Christian infants seem somehow inappropriate.

On a serious note, thank G-d I live in a Jewish stronghold here in Philly.

What, farting?

I shouldn’t have had that Indian food for dinner, should I?

I thought that meant chocolate milk.

I did some research recently, and was gratified to discover that while there had definitely been acts of vandalism, there had been no anti-semitic acts of violence against persons in the U.S. in the past three years. I guess I can no longer make that point. :frowning:

Well, IMO yes

But more specifically “deliberately in business meetings” !
Though, that practice would be the biggest advance in speeding up meetings since Roberts Rules of Order.

Yes, indeed. A brave man who died protecting people from a lunatic with a gun.

No offense, but you didn’t do a very good job.

You must have missed that synagogue bombing plot that the New York police prevented last month, too.

See here, too: http://www.adl.org/PresRele/ASUS_12/5537_12.htm

With the exception that this particular vet , was a pacific war vet. A little event like Pearl Harbor has quite a few people sign up to go to war against japan, and not everyone was a gentleman and a scholar.

Did WWII enlistees get a choice of theaters?

Wow! I just got a surreal feeling. I have read 2 pages of posts on the SDMB about a shooting and it hasn’t devolved into a 2nd amendment/gun control rant yet.

Has this ever happened before?

I wonder if Resurrection Lutheran Church(ELCA) in Wichita, Kansas is considering it?

In his case he might have, if his bio is correct and he ended up as a retired captain, I can probably guess that he either went officer training command, I would have thought that his bio may have mentioned that he was a mustang. So volunteering for PT boats would be a ticket to the pacific war.

I’m curious to know if he was in JFK’s squadron.

Declan

The important thing is that you’ve done what you can to fix that.

Speaking as an ELCA member, probably not. We tend toward the “wimpy” end of the spectrum. However, as the chair of our property commission recently won an all-state shooting competition, I wouldn’t try it. A guy can hide a helluva lot under his choir robe.
