I was out of town and just found out it was on, which is depressing because I was seriously looking forward to it after seeing excerpts last month.
So, anyone have any juicy tidbits to report? the excerpts looked like she was pretty out of it…what’s her story?
I remember a couple of things.
I remember Bobby Brown was on a sofa then came over to the interview and started sweating. He said he’s bipolar and pot evens him out. Lithium makes him catatonic (Whitney goes into a catatonic pose). The two of them together look like trouble. Like a couple of drinking buddies.
Diane started harping on Whitney’s cancelled performances. Whitney came back with something to the effect of “how many concerts weren’t cancelled?” Whitney said she was fired from the Oscars (I can’t remember what year that was) because she had bronchitis and wanted a day off but couldn’t get it. That and I guess generally not seeing eye to eye with the producers.
She partied hard but has grown out of it now yada yada yada.
She had what I assume was a dog on the loveseat she was on. It was basically a pile of hair. She seemed kind of jumpy at times like an employee making up excuses. She seemed reasonably healthy. They did a spot on their daughter. She sang “I love you” the Paul McCartney tune to her. She does it as a lullaby.
I haven’t seen many interviews with Whitney or really cared much about or followed her personal life but she came off harder and been-through-the-grinder more than I thought she would.
