Larry Storch, Corporal Agarn of F Troop is 97 years old.
There is only 1 true Bond. James Bond, Sean Connery. All the others are fakes.
Well, I remember Roger Moore playing Bond in the 70s growing up. So to me, he’s Bond. I have watched some with Sean Connery, but I like Roger Moore’s Bond better. The James Bonds after the Roger Moore era I don’t care for.
By that logic, to me, Timothy Dalton would be James Bond, since he’s the one I grew up watching. But that’s not so; it’s because Dalton actually is Bond.
Well, we’re all allowed to have opinions.
I guess. I mean I do think of him along with Daniel Craig as Bond. Still, I do like Roger Moore the most…after Craig. I’d go:
- Craig
- Moore
- Connery
- Brosnan
- Dalton <–had crappy movies no fault of his own
I haven’t seen George Lazenby’s one. I know!
Yo yo I’mma let you finish, but The Living Daylights was one of the best Bond films of all-time, dog!
I could take or leave Licence to Kill, though.
Maybe I need to re-watch it. I watch Dalton’s so little, I don’t remember them anymore.
So no votes for Woody Allen as the one true James Bond?
I was an elementary age kid when the Roger Moore Bond movies were always on cable TV, and at that age I just couldn’t appreciate them. I actually remember being annoyed at having to watch them when older relatives wanted to watch them and there was no other TVs. To me, then, Pierce Brosnan is James Bond, since his movies came out when I was of the age to appreciate Bond movies.
I would say Sean Connery, then Daniel Craig, then everyone else. But that’s just me.
Are you kidding? The entirety of S8 was devoted to the spleen.
maybe this deserves its own thread?
I agree
Mod Note to all of us talking about James Bond, (Yes, I was part of the problem). Let’s move this to a new thread or at least drop it here.
And thanks to TriPolar, here it is: Who was the best Bond?
the same with Henry Aaron
Get away from me
I remember being surprised that Mort Sahl was still alive and kicking.
There’s a little bit of everyone who ever lived in all of us.
Don’t tell Mortsahlfan.
Mort was outdated by the 70’s or 80’s.
In keeping with the OP’s example, I’ve been surprised to find these folks are still alive, largely because they fell of my personal radar:
Burt Bacharach (92)
Ann-Margaret (and only 77)
Barbara Bain (89)
Joanne Woodward (90)
Neil Sedaka (81)
