It would be helpful, though, if they’d allow for narrowing the time period down a bit. When they first set up those date ranges, the board was less than two years old, so “A year ago and older” was less than a year’s worth of threads. Now it’s over eight years of threads.
I know nothing about vBulletin, but I bet they’ve got something better than that as an option. They might even have some ‘between date X and date Y’ option.
I’ve found that when the search doesn’t work, trying it again in a few minutes yields results.

Well clearly I’m deficient because I cannot figure out how to PM anyone here. I can’t access anyone’s profile (which I’m guessing is where the PM function now is?) and I’m still a paid member (as far as I can tell and of course there’s no way to re-up in case I’m not).
So um how do I PM?

Click on the poster’s name and you’ll get a menu that includes sending a PM.
That doesn’t work for me. I’ve tried it in Firefox and even IE (yuck). NO JOY.
You’ve probably got Visitor Messaging turned off in your User Control Panel > Edit Options:
Actually those settings were OK. I still can’t access anyone’s profile but I can type in a name to send a PM. Very odd but at least I was able to send my PM.
So no blow jobs from me, but I do thank you 
Search is working for me but I still can’t use the tools in the reply form. Hope they fix this soon.
